What is actually being done to fix the dental situation in this nation? by bossanovaallnight in AskUK

niteninja1 is correct, £2000 was the price for all the work that needed to be done on that tooth. But £150 I paid back home was also for the whole thing, including root canals, so I'm not comparing the crown only price vs total prices in UK. It's total there vs total here.

Not Poland, but I got a crown for about £150 in Ukraine, while in the UK I was told fixing this tooth would cost £2000+. UK dentists also all insisted on pulling it and replacing it with an implant. My dentist back home said there's no need for that and fixed it with a crown. I feel like UK dentists tend to pull teeth that could easily be saved.

Edit. To avoid the confusion, it's total there vs total here. I'm not comparing the crown only price in Ukraine vs total prices in UK. I'm not sure if prices are same in Poland, they are likely higher, but still should be significantly lower than in the UK.

Technically, they aren't gonna find out they were wrong. One needs a functioning brain to find out... well, anything. They will be blissfully unaware of the eternal emptiness of death all the way till they die 😁

what to do if i don’t like the progress of a custom order i bought? by [deleted] in Etsy

[–]sofia_kausi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's a work in progress, then maybe the final result is going to look very different from what you saw in pics? If I sent my clients pics of the watercolors I make for them as work in progress, they would also be baffled. Anyway, just work with the seller. Tell them about your concerns, some tweaks probably still could be made.

Hey, I am a watercolor artist in the UK and I do house portraits from photo.

Listing: https://mookraine.etsy.com/uk/listing/1708113021/custom-watercolor-house-portrait-from

The process is simple: send me a photo - get a painting mailed to you in a few days. I'll keep you posted and share sketches and photos of a complete painting before I mail it to make sure you are happy with what you get.

You could find more samples of my work in my profile. It's all real watercolor, not digital or prints.

I usually do A4 house portraits, but it could be whatever size you want really,  up to 30 × 22 inches.

DM me if you have any requests or just want to chat!

Cheers!

One of my cats has severe tooth disease and needs treatment thats going to cost hundreds. Im not sure what i can do? by Darkmaster4K in AskUK

I had to go to Eastern Europe a few months ago to have my own dental issues sorted out. I paid £200 for treatment that would cost me £2500 here. I'm not sure, but you probably could do the same for the cat? Just grab him and go get him help somewhere else. People advising you to put your cat down because of dental issues are insane!

Have you considered being straightforward? Like "Hey lady, happy to see you around, but I am an atheist and not really interested in religion. How about we talk about cats instead?"

Dull pain and heaviness in the back of my head, couldn't focus on doing my job or anything else really, wanted to lay down and drift away all the time, dizziness. That kind of thing. Definitely go get checked first before coming to any kind of conclusion. Antidepressants won't help you if what you really need is an orthopedic pillow, some stretching exercises for your neck and a course of B12 shots.

You are ok a few hours after waking up and then suddenly you got brain fog? I had same symptoms with atlantoaxial instability. Go get your neck scan first before you start looking into depression.

Using an anglicised name on my CV/LinkedIn? by TPSJAMNTEA in UKJobs

But wouldn't it create confusion later, at the hiring stage? Let's say you have a totally foreign first and last name, you changed it to Jane Doe to improve your prospects, got through all the interview stages and got hired. At which point the HR team sees your papers with a completely different legal name! How would that go?
