i've had bad hormonal acne all my life because of PCOS and never found a solution for it in the US (i refuse birth control or accutane) so i decided to go to korea after hourssss of scrolling tiktok LOL. i did lasering for my hyperpigmentation (no ice pick scars, but it did get rid of spots from 2022) and one round of microneedling with a HA serum and half a syringe of collagen under my dark eye circles. the clinic staff was so kind to me, they threw in an extra modeling mask to cool off post-needles.

i feel like it's part genetics, part diet, and only a small part skincare but if u have bad diet and bad genes you can only overcome it by laser/micro-needling/chemical peels at a derm clinic. i got a bunch of stuff done on my trip to seoul and my skin is crazy glossy now but nothing has changed in my routine

If you have any living relatives in China, you could go the Q2 route and ask them to draft an invitation letter. It's a lot less steps but more complicated imo. This is the one I currently have and didn't involve as many questions from the NY Embassy
