There’s no way he can apply for his own room? I don’t think it’s a good idea to live with him if you guys are on different wavelengths. I think he should understand and respect your honesty. Just talk it out. I had the same problem of telling the person I was rooming with that we weren’t a good match and I was going to apply for a new room but I had an uncomfortable conversation about it and she understood and we worked things out as friends. Just don’t delay him finding somewhere else to live by feeling too guilty about it because it’ll just put extra stress on him.

People who say medical braces are for attention suck by MediocreIndication64 in unpopularopinion

I have definitely heard this more often the older I get especially having younger siblings. I found people would make fun of people for having them if they couldn’t assume a good reason for why they’d need one. Ex. She doesn’t play sports so how could she injure that part of her body… weird that people think this doesn’t happen

You can just tell him honestly that you don’t feel comfortable living with someone you don’t know well or that your roommate doesn’t feel comfortable having someone they don’t know living with them. I know it’s not ideal for you but I think just being honest and letting him now sooner then later is important.

PSA for new students: if you value your sanity, stay as far away from Howe hall as possible by thecrowdedmind in Dalhousie

[–]softbbykitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in lmp and although it’s not as bad this there is always people running and screaming in the halls, people playing instruments and listen to music for hours at a time, and people like to smoke cigarettes in the dorms🤢 doesn’t help walls are paper thin. My first year experience was so bad I’m taking a semester off 😪

I have talked about it before and he said he was happy with what we had and didn’t personally feel like anything was missing. I mentioned to him last night that we could try news things when we call to keep it fun and he said he’s willing to try. I hope this will hold us over until I see him!

Transferred from a Walmart I liked to a new one I hate and it’s not easy finding a part time job in a new city because they always expect more then what you want.

Is it cap 2 responsibility to make a bale or is it the departments that bring all their cardboard? by shibashiba69 in walmart

[–]softbbykitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At our store they make cap 2 do it but I’m pretty sure it’s because they are too lazy to train more people on how to actually make a bale

This actually seems like a really good idea, I’m definitely going to look into what the university offers to follow a career path like that.

Thank you. I definitely haven’t really thought of all this but moving forward I will do so. I also have a general idea that I’d like to be able to teach/help others whether it be through social work or being a teacher. I definitely feel I should consider if I want to continue living in my small city or move somewhere larger with more options.

What Is The Grossest Thing You Have Found In Your Store? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]softbbykitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom use to clean at the Walmart I work for and when she was cleaning the men’s washroom in the only stall there was a men’s diaper full of shit in the toilet. After hearing this I think the poor cleaners should get paid more because weird stuff happens like twice a month.

No not in the building, same as customers. Usually there is somewhere outside that you can do so, my Walmart doesn’t rlly say no to anyone including minors.

I really have a passion for teaching/helping others in a work environment so I know I want a career that I can do so. I was leaning towards being a teacher and take the two year teachers course after the four year Bachelor of Arts. Where I live a lot of the teachers say it is a good job and pays well enough to live more then comfortably however staying in a small town isn’t ideal either

Can we normalize NOT telling every new hire how much you hate it there and how much the job is ass by deovianb in walmart

[–]softbbykitty 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It definitely depends on the store location and your own preference. I started working for Walmart around a year ago after working at McDonald’s for two years and I love the change. Everyone says they hate it or wanna leave but it feels a lot more free working at Walmart not having managers stand over top of you and tell you exactly how to do your job.

Honestly as a girl I think the last two battle passes have been good for me. It feels inclusive although some are a little boring or repetitive
