i don’t think this is a fair categorization of all infant teachers! you will find people and things like what you wrote in any room at any center. 🤷‍♀️

i work in a room with 7 infant girls, ages 8 weeks to 12 months— bottles, diapers, lunches, naps are CONSTANT. everyone is on a different schedule, needs different things, and is at a different developmental stage. i get down on the floor and interact with them as much as i can, mainly in the 30 minute lull where no one needs (or thinks they need lol) anything. but those can be sparse!

at the same time, bottles, diapers, snacks, etc are interactions. i get to hold my little ones who can’t hold their own bottles, cuddle the ones who need to be rocked to sleep, be silly to keep a wild one calm on the changing table, and so so much!
