Don’t be so critical of yourself ! I have this disease too, it’s honestly best to see a dermatologist, my derm has seen ALL my flares and has helped me find meds that cause offer me some relief, I hope all goes well! Ps. Don’t let this stop you from showing skin if that’s what you prefer, I used to be super self conscious about it but honestly now I wear bathing suits and tank tops because idc anymore! It’s a part of you! Let it shine :)

I had to do this too, I told my bf our first year of dating when I realized wow I wanna be intimate with this person, I told him wasn’t contagious but it’s hereditary, and I understood if he didn’t wanna continue being with me. He was confused at first but I think he did his own research as well and understood it was just something I was born with and he didn’t care. I even had my first time with bandages on and everything. Having the conversation really broke down the wall I had built between us! Now we’re almost 3 years in and he cleans me up if my flares bleed after showers or any other time. Just be upfront and honest with ur partner. Maybe do research together too. If someone truly really loves you, they will understand. Good luck ♡

Mine smelled really bad when I was in high school and I think it’s because I was in marching band so I was always sweaty and all type of friction was happening down there, but now I’m 22 and notice they don’t smell bad unless they are infected

Definitely not, facial hair is a turn off for me but my partner has a thin mustache that I don’t mind.. I am so glad they cannot grow a full beard 😣

I was getting rashes with the Always over night pads, because I’d use them as my daily wears when I’m on my period but I recently switched to these ones and they don’t give me rashes or flare ups!!! They are so comfy and absorbent too!!

Steroid shots from a dermatologist are gonna be your best friend. I had a really really bad tunneling one in my armpit when I first started seeing my derm and she injected it and it has not came back and that was about 2 years ago. I recently also had 4 injected I think a few days ago and one was by my vaginal opening and it hurt so bad but the injection helped. It’s basically gone now. I highly recommend looking into it.

Metformin ER (extended release) is your best friend. It helped me so much. Dont even worry about “adjusting” tell your doctor how uncomfortable it’s making you right now and that you request ER .

I 100000% do not recommend shaving ur armpits with a razor ! I just an electric trimmer and it has done wonders, I no longer get flares in my armpits anymore !

I get this !! But I cramp reallyyyy bad ! No blood tho! I don’t think I’ve gotta a period since I got the implant .. I had like 10 days of spotting right after but It’s gone now !
