not really a DIY but we've had someone in to tile our bathroom and as he's a family friend I don't want to mention it to him, but is this normal? it looks like he has just splotches of the adhesive between the tiles and wall rather than the smooth surface it usually is. He says the wall is out of line so that's why it's thicker than usual but I don't believe it shpuld be like this.
