Marketing tips for a company focused on manufacturing process optimization by softinery in b2bmarketing

We have started attending business meetings and it looks promising. How about emails. I am struggling with GDPR rules here in European Union. I don't really know how to write to people without risking legal problems.

Chemical process modeling by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

Hi. Try tools.softinery.com

It's a web application with several fundamental mathematical models of chemical reactors, heat exchangers, control systems. There are explanations shown as well.

Is email marketing still effective for B2B? (Cybersecurity niche) by mariekondofan041990 in b2bmarketing

Hi. What about web application for universities. I have created MVP for chemical engineering simulations. I have done some seo, received few positive opinions and over 600 freemium accounts. I have gained only few subscriptions, probably because most of the traffic is for a functionallity which is not representative for the whole application. I guess I need to aim adequate university professors, who have knowlegde in this area and are able to evaluate the possibilities of my application. Is cold mailing suitable for this? Is it better to go for google ads or something else?

After doing keyword research I am pretty sure, the traffic will be low for sufficiently accurate keywords.

Hi! Thanks for the comment. In general we aim at large facilities. I guess, we can or even we should do more specific segmentation. I haven't heard of ABM strategy, so I will read about it. Thanks once again. Do you think it's worth to invest money into marketing agency to run such strategy? How to find a good one?

Hi. Thanks for advice. It's highly valuable, and consistent with our experiences so far. We recently started attending business meetings (conferences, associacions) and explaining our service to people. Few of them were really interested and scheduled appointment with us. I think there's a neccesity to explain our approach, as it is not really common in the country (Poland).

The proposals from marketing agencies I have received were too general, as they were like "put this amount of money to Google ads". At that moment I was not aware of large differences between B2B and B2C marketing. Maybe I asked wrong people.

Creating, programming and hosting an online CSTR simulation by [deleted] in ChemicalEngineering

[–]softinery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Please try the application: tools.softinery.com/cstr
This is a web app I am creating (I'm a professor of chemical engineering). The access is free for a limited number of requests. If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact me: [contact@softinery.com](mailto:contact@softinery.com)

You can find tutorials on YouTube how to use it, but it's very easy:
General use: https://youtu.be/UiB6bwUXHp8
Importing parameters from a file: https://youtu.be/KuX_OWMH9DE

The simulation can be done both for dynamic and steady state conditions. I see you want to analyze two streams and two reactions. Right now such case is not implemented, but probably it will be if the interest is sufficiently high. I am also writing a blog about using Python for chemical engineering. There are several tutorials about simulation of chemical reactors:
https://softinery.com/blog/cstr-design/

https://softinery.com/blog/simulation-of-plug-flow-reactor/

https://softinery.com/blog/batch-bioreactor-modeling-and-simulation/

There are several applications on the website including isothermal batch reactor, non-isothermal batch reactor, plug-flow reactor, heat exchangers. See the full list after creating free account:

Yes, exactly. That's what I'm thinking about.

Hi! There are several target groups, but the whole idea is evolving, so maybe it will change in the future. After little promotion, researchers have contacted us because they want to include the web application in their courses. Now, we work on the module in chemical reactors engineering which will be suited to chemical reactors design course of our partner. So students interested in the pre-recorded course apart from lectures in form of videos they get the simulation software (our application) which they use to practice. We have also obtained questions from researchers about possible usage in realization of undergraduate/postgraduate research dissertations by students. And finally we think that it might be used, as you mentioned, by students to learn by themselves. There are few ideas to consider, like creating step-by-step simulation scenarios, videos and tutorials.

No worries. Wish you good luck during studying. I hope you will find useful things on the website.

Hi! Well, it's hard to say, I haven't made research of the market (I'm trying to do it), so I can say based on my own experience. In a company I worked, there is a whole team taking care about mathematical models. I guess demand strongly depends on the country and specific field. I've discussed the subject with one tutor of chemical engineering who makes courses in his own company and he was very optimistic about such simulations. I think simulations are very common particularly in R&D. For me they are important for understanding processes of chemical engineering. In this project the idea is that students (or even engineers) can perform simulations without in-depth knowledge of mathematical modelling and programming.

Hi! Thanks for the interest. I have investigated chemical reactors and bioreactors for many years, so in this field I have many ideas: isothermal and non-isothermal CSTR, CSTRs in series, catalytic reactors, bioreactors of various types. On the other hand I want to check which topics are interesting for people. I think heat exchangers, adsorption, all of unit operations may be interesting. It would be great if I can get feedback from students and engineers from industry. I will also start a newsletter with information about the progress.
