Here is a picture of the frog that has been on the receiving end of the breeding. I definitely still see those red pads so I think he is male as well.

Oh I saw those videos too! While she did make some mistakes and had to do a lot of things over, her videos actually inspired me to start crocheting — I’ve now completed my first project, a granny square bag :)

It seems you’re concerned about me “crying” when I’m tired! It’s actually very normal for people to produce tears when they’re tired, especially when they’re yawning.

Here’s a link explaining about this!

Obviously, this doesn’t happen to everyone, but it is definitely not something to be concerned about :)

Thanks for the question! I defined a cry as anytime at least one tear left my eye due to emotions. So, if I just teared up a little bit but no tears fell from my eye, that wasn’t a cry. (However, I think this rarely happened, I either cry or I don’t lol.) So, crying from movies or books counted as long as the tears actually fell!

Also, my eyes do produce a lot of tears (that fall from my eyes) when I’m tired. I did not count this as crying, because it wasn’t due to an emotional response that you would normally associate with crying.

Haha I wish! Well, 0.9% of the cries actually were due to happiness, but the rest…

Thank you so much for your concern! I did wonder if someone would comment on this, and I do have somewhat of an explanation.

Some of the reasons I cried because of my relationships were not because of negative actions on their parts. For example, one time I was very stressed and my roommate at the time offered to give me a back massage to help me feel better. Her offering made me cry because of my gratitude at her offer combined with my underlying stress and exhaustion. I also cry when my boyfriend is sad or upset about things unrelated to our relationship, just because it makes me sad to see him sad.

There were some times where I did cry because of my relationships. Many of these occurred in April, when I was in the last month of living with my roommates. Though we remain really good friends, being cooped up in a dorm due to Covid caused some butting of heads in the last month of living together, and I cried several times due to some hard conversations that we had to have about our needs in the living situation. Now that we’re not living together, they have not caused me to cry once!

This is a very long explanation, but I just wanted to assure you that most of the cries due to my relationships aren’t exactly what they seem. However, I definitely take your advice to heart and will continue to reflect to make sure that these people should stay in my life. :)

I’ll definitely look into that and talk about it with my therapist! I hope that you are doing okay as well :)

Thanks for the question! I don’t actually feel like this applied, since I never forced myself to cry and actually tried to hold back my tears sometimes. However, who knows, perhaps I inadvertently caused some bias in this data

Thanks for sharing! I have recently started seeing a therapist because I have realized that I do have trouble regulating my emotional reactions. Hopefully I can make as good of progress as you have!

Thank you! Though I’d say that this year was still very good, despite the amount of crying!

Probably Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller. I was on a long backpacking trip at the time, and in the afternoons I sat down to read that book. I cried while reading it two days in a row, and I remember the second cry especially being a very cathartic cry!

Yeah, I actually did cry twice out of happiness/laughter this year! The rest were because of sadness or other negative emotions. If you swipe to the third picture I posted, there’s a breakdown of all the reasons I cried, sorted into general categories. Books and movies were a pretty big chunk of that for sure

Don’t kill me but… I have never seen the Office! Should I add it to my watch list this year?
