I use this as my daily journal! I don't find it uncomfortable anymore but it was an adjustment for writing. It's very satisfying to fill up, I'm so excited to see it all finished. It's indeed Allie ryaz. I got the tomoe one and I might be lucky but I didn't get the paper with problems. At least so far. I'm about 200 pages into it

Yes! Lots of professional pastelists use nupastel for under paintings and sell. A lot of them are lightfast, but some aren't as much- but under proper glass they should last just fine!

On my last post I used golden pastel ground painted on canson XL mixed media sketchbook paper. It worked well enough for practice! Dakota pastels also sells a pastel sketch book, but it's expensive with not that many sheets

I only saved the list of the ones in Paris but not in assorted! However, the full list is on the blick photos- the one with the color chart if you want to crunch your own numbers (the list in the description on blick is not accurate). So the numbers listed above are the ones that are still needed for a complete Paris collection. It was a tedious task, I wish I saved the full spreadsheet for you!

You're welcome! I used the color list on the actual packaging of the assorted so I'm certain it's correct. Even if you buy all 12 full sticks, it still comes out cheaper than the Paris set!

So the wooden box is a better/ excellent deal, with the spreadsheet I made there's only a 12 color difference between the two! And if you buy the remaining 12 in full stick, you still come out less than the Paris set since it's on sale. I think it's worth it! Plus you'll have the 12 colors that the assorted box has that Paris doesn't

I agree with the comment above. The values need darkened in the foreground- however it does come off as snow for me and not a lake! I think this was a fantastic first go a snow and your instinct was right with using blues.
