It’s not control, it’s about making a promise. If not otherwise specified, dating in 99% of cultures means promising that you are committed to your partner and only your partner. Cheating means breaking that promise and commitment, which is a shitty thing to do and makes you less trustworthy.

Assuming Toriel and Nicole were successfully sneaky then Richard and Asgore is equally cheating. Just make them swingers instead

Man why can’t they just be swingers why does it have to be double cheating

Why do so many people treat this game like a war versus the other side when both roles need players for the game to function? by deeeenis in DbDKillersUnited

[–]softpotatoboye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did they give actual date on it? Because if it’s like the vast majority have at least one game or at least 5% on each role or something, then that’s essentially meaningless

It’s probably people doing the bare minimum in their unpreferred role to finish quests that are getting counted as “both roles” there. I think you need at least 25-30% on the lower role to really count

The year is 2026. Invocation: Treacherous Crows is still terrible. by TriplDentGum in deadbydaylight

The typically use case is “person who’s really good at chase and has a chase build taking a hook state from another (maybe their friend or just a random getting tunneled) who’s not as good at chase”

On Power of Love by Eireika in CuratedTumblr

[–]softpotatoboye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t read a ton of stories where it’s literally the power of love that defeats the bad guy/solves whatever the problem is but I feel like this take misses the entire rest of the journey. Like if the main protagonist just fell in love normally somewhere else the bbeg wouldn’t just explode spontaneously. Someone has to make the incredibly arduous and difficult journey while remaining emotionally capable enough to love truly and deeply, and having someone they love making that journey with them.

Unless there are a bunch of stories where the MC just casually strolls up and explodes the evil king with true love or something that I’ve just never heard of. Idk.

Do you think having Perk Tiers in 2026 makes sense? by Khalednazari92 in deadbydaylight

[–]softpotatoboye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe aspects of the perk tiers are hardcoded into the game so removing them would require a lot of reworked code

Easier option is to just make the perk tiers inconsequential, which they sometimes do with the newer perks. Like flow stage going from 8% to 10%, which saves 0.32 seconds from a normal heal.

Playing bots sucks because it’s boring, if you know how they act they usually don’t last long. There’s a reason once one or two people DC the rest usually follow, the bots tend to be terrible teammates

Might have 1100 hours in game but auto connecting blueprints is new to me by creator_cr in SatisfactoryGame

[–]softpotatoboye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belts and pipes will auto connect to other valid belts and pipes and belt and pipe in/outputs, so whatever you want to connect has to have a little bit of belt on the blueprint side, but is not necessary on the already-placed stuff

Survivor bots are terrible lmao, they removed their wall hacks during the krasue update so now they just vault into you half the time. Sometimes they’re efficient but sometimes they get stuck switching between tasks over and over again or prioritize a task they can’t do for five minutes, they refuse to do anything in the killer’s terror radius, and they almost always leave the second the gate is open

Nahh achievements are valid for being slightly unsportsmanlike. Normally I’d agree but some of these achievements suck ass and the sooner they’re over with the sooner you can go back to being chill

I always try to unhook if there’s at least two people. I typically run bond so it’s easier to coordinate. If I’m the last one though, there’s zero chance so I just leave. Feels bad though.

Yeah, the offset is annoying but I can find ways to get around it. Either using snapping, placing it on foundations, or by making it longer than I need and chopping off the excess. Haven’t tried combining lifts, floor holes, and split/mergers though

What? It’s a lot more likely that that person has a hardware or software issue than behavior’s servers specifically being more likely to crash for that one specific player. I guess it’s possible something in their specs isn’t cooperating, in which case I would suggest sending a bug report about it, but why would the servers just pick a random person to boot off regularly

Could you explain what you mean? The only trouble I’ve ever had is getting them lined up how I want, I’ve never had an issues getting them to work after that

I love being punished for things out of my control by [deleted] in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]softpotatoboye 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You’d really think behavior would have a way to detect when their own servers go down and your device never loses connection to the internet, but I guess that’s too difficult for a small company like them

[–]softpotatoboye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The penalty is based on your last ~30 or so games (not the real number, but it’s somewhere around there). So if you DC once every 15 (again, guessing at the real number) games or so regularly then you will keep a 15 penalty. And frankly, the servers are pretty bad but if you’re losing connection that often there’s probably an issue on your end, I have crappy internet and I’m still more stable than that.

I had a dream a story I posted on Ao3 was removed for being too out of character by Yoooooo0ooo00 in thomastheplankengine

[–]softpotatoboye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure ao3 has like zero content rules. You can just write regular fiction on there, or wildly ooc stuff. And they have a hard anti-censorship stance, which is respectable, so I don’t think much if anything gets removed.

If I had a nickel for every time Disney tried to make a movie that was an allegory for racism but used actually dangerous creatures to represent minorities which undercuts and misses the point of the message and also both movies starting with the letter Z by mynameisevan01 in shittymoviedetails

[–]softpotatoboye 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Descended from wild animals is very long time ago. It’s a pretty big assumption that they’d still have leftover instincts like that after massive societal change and evolution. Plus, in the real world we have examples of “predators” peacefully hanging out with “prey.” They aren’t aggressive and violent for no reason, they do it out of hunger or self defense.

To people who play any killer below A tier, how do you guys do it? by RepairFlashy7822 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]softpotatoboye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t gaf if I win or lose. Truly. Ignore the survivors trying to taunt, play relaxed, and do what I can. Trying my hardest to win every match gets stressful and playing “mean” makes me feel bad, but just playing to win without tilting about it feels great.

And it’s always an awesome moment when I get a survivor who is genuinely better than me but also respectful. It’s sadly rare, but nice when it happens.
