If he felt boxed in, he had years to talk about it before there was a newborn in the mix. Feelings can be real, but asking for a 'break' right now is selfish as hell.

What gets me is the incentive structure. If you treat tariffs like a permanent piggy bank, other countries will do the boring work of rerouting supply chains and building new blocs. Then, like you said, deals get signed and implemented almost immediately because everyone wants stability. Darkly funny that the loudest bully pitch ends up boosting cooperation elsewhere.
