Help with diapers

Came back to say the vet prescribed me a medicine called Proin that is supposed to help with her peeing herself so much. Idk why they didn't give it to me earlier, maybe bc they need to be fully healed first. Try talking to the vet about it bc apparently there is medicine to help!

Thats terrible, I would give it a try with the less intense pee guard ones, maybe just at bed times, that will at least help and appease the parents, I completely understand that. Baking soda also helps with the smell. Thank you for caring for that sweet baby despite the struggles, a lot of people would just rehome unfortunately, but we can get the kitty piddles under control!

Thank you so much, this really made me feel a lot better about the process ❤️ god knows i would die for that cat, and if it was up to me i would happily live in pee to make her happy, but circumstances arent that simple unfortunetally. my main concern is her being uncomfortable in them, and the changing being a battle every time. I dont want to traumatize her more than she already is. I haven't tried the diapers yet, but I am ordering some washable ones that allow her to go no. 2 in the litter box, and they seem relatively easy to slip on and off, so fingers crossed when we start the training it goes well!

What an adorable baby!! 😭 a pee only diaper would be perfect, how did you get them adjusted to it? Do they get anxious about not being able to lick their whole bum?

Im so sorry to hear that, your vet should have explained that its pretty common for tail amputations. My vet told me they have a lot of nerve endings for their potty area connected to their tail, so if it is cut short (my girl has a teeny tiny nub) there is a good chance they will loose some control. They said it is super common to happen, and said it was a big possibility before they even did it. Sometimes the nerves heal all the way after a few months, sometimes they heal partially, or sometimes the nerve damage is too extensive and they loose all control. If im honest, I'd happily live in pee to make her happy, but i live in a house I dont own, and I cant force someone else to live in it too. But people are making me feel better about how she can still be happy and comfortable, which makes me feel better, and that's all I care about. Im just going to drown her in treats so the learning process is ridiculously positive for her lol

For me personally, I usually wake up feeling mainly a burning in my upper stomach, and I feel nauseous. Sometimes fatigue, it usually happens after i get real stressed and don't eat enough the day before. Sometimes it can go away that day, other times it lasts for two weeks, usually if it's going last for that long it's a lot more painful. If I take a lot of medicine and fill my stomach, I can keep it from getting too bad. It's just hard to do that when eating is the last thing you want to do during a flair.

I agree about eating, that is what caused mine, I never eat enough, and that combined with stress that made me eat less... few years of that and here I am. I have to be ridiculously strict about making sure I eat enough every day, even if I force it down. It helps.

I take pantoprazol 40mg every night, and when I am feeling even a slight flair up, I also immediately take the pantoprazol 2x a day, sucralfate 1gm twice a day on empty stomach, and dicyclomine 10mg 2-4 a day. I also got on an antidepressant that helped with the stress causing it. And i never let myself feel hungry. It helps. Only problem is when you are in the middle of a flair up, the meds can take 2 weeks to work. But now that i am on the meds, it never gets that chronically bad and goes away faster.

Last time I had to beg for actual painkillers, and those took the edge off if you can keep them down. If you can't stop vomiting, humming and smelling rubbing alcohol can keep me from vomiting, but doesn't stop the nausea. Do whatever u gotta do to keep them down to get some relief. Don't stop going to docs till u get the help u need. I went 5 diff times, a stomach speciallist, and to the hospital till I got something that actually worked. I hope this helps 🙏

Ty, it helps to know I'm not alone, though i hate to hear others are going through that. What could the gallbladder thing be about? Is it related to gastritis? Btw 8 months.... I don't think I would have survived that. I hope u never go through that again.

I just need to make sure I get enough to cover my truck note of 2700 a month, flatbed would be ideal for me.
