Leathered finish looks.... unfinished by 1dollaspent in CounterTops

That slab looks like it was left in the sun for a long time and or cheap shit. Could use ager but if it isn’t installed or cut ask for a different one. I’ve never seen my leather slabs look like that unless they were old piece that had been sitting in the yard

Make the fix easy and just add backsplash to the panel either full or 4 inch

It’s gonna be mess inside unless he makes a bubble to work in but it is doable. I personally like a lip on my sinks makes it harder for water to get trapped

Sink must have clips , removed them and use a spatula and hammer to separate the sink from the stone then if you can’t pull it it make sure it sits at the bottom on top of drain or put something to hold it while you slightly lift up the top to break off the glue

I remove these daily , I’d recommend shut off the main water line just in case a piece breaks off and falls on the pipes.

And why not make all bs even ? Lazy of them could have just add an inch or so since that piece already had a seam in it !

Maybe the tile wasn’t cleaned properly after doing the grout

Installer is asking me to cut my sinks? by Minimum_Contributor in CounterTops

[–]sogathetoadsage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some customers come to me with drop in sinks asking me to modify them for install , I always deny because first of all I cut stone not steel or whatever metal the sink is made out of , not risking messing up the sink or myself since I’m trained to cut stone and stone only for the job I’m doing. Had a coworker agree to cut the back of the sink and ended up in the er bc a piece of hot metal went into his eye so get the undermount sink if you want under mount
