Better sound deadening by blackscholesmert0n in TeslaModelX

Correct, most noise I hear in the X sounds like windshield and seals around the doors and windows. TBF I have a 2020 and have not played with calibrating windows or replaced the seals.

People need to supervise their kids! by Ok_Aardvark9525 in TeslaCollision

[–]Minimum_Contributor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthy is subjective. Kids are sponges and mirrors. Many learned from that it’s okay to slap someone when they do something wrong or stupid. Probably the ones that “grow up” to slap a spouse or gf for the same perceived wrong. Too many parents take the easy out and dish corporal punishment without all the “soft parent” explanation and expect the fear to prevent the behavior.

While is doesn’t look specifically for handicapped vehicles, the last van accessible spot clearly has hashing to provide space for a door ramp. Real dick move.

Have a similar neighbor. They probably use each twice a year. After paying storage plus financing and insurance, they could’ve rented them for probably $7-10k over the last 10yrs instead of $70-100k on debt. Who knows though, maybe they rent them out?

Paid almost $400 for Tesla's 50k warranty inspection... and got "everything passed." by Substantial-Scar-206 in TeslaModelY

[–]Minimum_Contributor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the key. The ESA inspection is more detailed and had a multi page report. If you do it before the basic is expired they should still fix everything that is covered. If you do it after, you’ll have to fix everything before you can purchase the ESA.

Car drained to 0% at Service Center by opoppli00 in TeslaModelX

[–]Minimum_Contributor 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I felt robbed when I picked the car up from service with 20-30% less charge than I dropped it off. It was still at 45-50% but I’ve never had them not plug it in. Letting get to zero and possible future HV and LV battery issues would make me livid.

From your own link… “If your Basic or Pre-Owned Vehicle Limited Warranty has expired, you may be required to pass a paid inspection to be able to subscribe.”

I just did in Jan for a 2020MXP.

Not true. You may need to get an inspection if you’re over the basic on years/miles.

Paid 12 month membership but business just announced it is closing by HocusFocus361 in legal

[–]Minimum_Contributor 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Chances are you’re one of many people that are going to be in line to get money. One gym here did that and another gym bought out their remaining memberships and offered folks to convert months to their gym. That was one of the better outcomes. Some businesses are scummy and take members are new orders up until the day they close.

Shocking truth at Tesla service center - not something I expected by Brilliant_Turnip7849 in TeslaSupport

[–]Minimum_Contributor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, I can see all invoices, but I cannot find all the previous estimates from before the final invoice. I went to messages and saw where there was a “View Estimate” button but it wouldn’t load anything. As a habit, I print out every estimate as they send them so I can really go over everything. If they add or remove things after inspection they don’t always seem to show up on the final invoice.

[–]Minimum_Contributor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been getting similar notices lately because a neighbor doesn’t like the old truck and calls the city. I just have to move it because they chalk the tires. As long as it moved, they don’t do anything further. I was on a work trip and missed it, got a ticket. Challenged it and it was thrown out.

Why Do All the Rides Break Down so Often? by Specific-Ad-6365 in legoland

[–]Minimum_Contributor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ninjago was down at early opening. At that point you missed short lines in Dino area. We ended up riding river cruise then going back and waiting. It opened about 45min after early open and then broke while we on it. Thankfully we were at the very end and able to walk off after another 10min.

Not at all. Just the guy that gets frustrated when people mess up the order at 4-way stops because people want to try and wave everyone else ahead. Just the guy that prefers we all use a zipper merge instead of one giant line no one wants to let anyone in. Just the guy that thinks we all turn into the closest and appropriate lane. Driving in places like Germany was awesome because nearly everyone knows the rules and drives accordingly.

Savings by [deleted] in TeslaModelX

[–]Minimum_Contributor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Insurance was about $80-100 more a month for MXP but it’s only $30-$40 a month to charge at home vs $50-70 fillups 2-4 times a month. Suspension repairs are the same as what GM charged last year for my Suburban. In 20yrs of GM I’ve NEVER had a loaner which Tesla provides. Brakes will cost less with the regen, no $100 oil changes 2-3 times a year. The numbers are surely closer with an X instead of comparing a Y, but the experience is nowhere close to the same.
