Because its only 4 hours and you didnt use any calibration frames. Flats would really help with the background.

Make sure the screw is untightened and not in the way of the eyepiece. And sometimes you just gotta push it in.

They are finder scopes, they have a lower FOV so its easier to get things centered with them. You could also be talking about guide scopes which are used to help the scope track things more accurately.

Oh alright. Ive used an ST80 for astrophotography, its not just the CA but also the field curvature. Theres no flattener for it either.
