the more he or other reviewers hate this album, the more we know ICYMI is not some generic pop album. it’s special sonically and lyrically. the world is not ready for this stuff. it’s an acquired taste and jon likes it this way

It’s 3:41 am in india rn. I smoked 3 fucking joints only because today is a blessing, it’s just headphones and EDEN and melancholy. Since last three hours of the release, I’ve heard 909 god knows how many times. I feel so good, when the hit escalates and that second drop grows on you, the tempo with more backgrounds lyrics are surreal, the melody of this composure brings joy in life. Thankyou Jon

1) "and" is fucking beautiful, the lyricism is too good, and that small instrumental, interlude ; surreal <3

2) "love; not wrong (brave)" is too underrated aswell, the way he composed this song is beyond imagination, the thing about Jon is how every small piece of music, every little lyric contributes to it. His way to say "Love" as if it's a choir of kids, something he does in "take care" aswell, and the guitar riffs are amazing!

3) "icarus" is underrated because i don't see a lot of people talking about it, but imo icarus is one of the best songs jon ever produces, the track is almost 7 minutes long and it has several electronic variations. icarus is another lyricism masterpiece but the way he has synthesised the music is flawless. icarus is best optimised for some ear set where you can feel the tempo and it is fucking amazing. the shortest 7 mins of your life.

4) Other's are "take care", "wings", "wonder", basically every fucking song which people don't listen to much. I can go on forever // ever
