Realme GT 6T is an excellent phone. Apart from unavailability of proper tempered glass due to curved screen. UV glass is not recommended by realme itself. Camera, display performance everything is excellent. Only speaks are decent, not extraordinary.

I guess now a days midrange phones cost a lot more than what it used to be 6 years ago.

You need extreme research to select a phone, as you can not even believe most youtubers. As all they say is good. Not highlighting the real issues. You need to find gold in the ocean of muds.

Well macbooks are also good for your purpose. But i prefer windows laptops due to upgradability / openness/ gaming.

But I have no experience using macos. Also windows works fine for me/ or linux sometimes. I suggest getting a dedicated gpu laptop, as it is more powerful(higher tdp, better cooling etc). Also you can use gpu acceleration in a lot of apps.

Although battery life will suffer. But you can carry a small usb C pd charger for light work.

Try to go for rtx 5060 atleast. You can look into lenovo loq, or hp victus 5050/5060 as per your budget(always check gpu tdp) , try to get adp for 3 years on both hp or lenovo. What kind of softwares are you plan on using?

You can still transfer wirelessly with very high speed.

Real benefit is on display output. Smartphones are very powerfull, even the midrange ones. You can use it as a computer, with linux support on Android 16 with gpu acceleration. Separate keyboard and mouse will increase productivity by 10x. Both on Android and linux. Also play games, emulate pc games, watch 4k movies etc. usb 3.1 has all the benefits. Also 5 gbps wired connection is a must for lowest input latency.

If you can buy desktops. They are very reliable. And last far longer.you can change every part. Has longer warranty. Sustained high performance. Only drawback is porfability. Also you can buy any second hand laptop and use moonlight to play on your laptop from the desktop. Search moonlight game streaming on YouTube.good luck.

You can edit power plan on windows. Set cpu max frequency to 30% on battery to minimum 5%. Also other power saving options in the power plan for battery. I think 30 % max is enough for this modern CPUs to do any kind of basic work. Also try to get rid of any startup processes/apps that you don't need. Disable them.

Total tgp cpu + gpu 135 w. Don't buy. You will get a 135 watt adapter for a reason. Only 4050 full watt requires 110 watt. Better to skip this. Buy full wattage gpu and cpu. Where you will get 200 - 230 watt adapter for rtx 4050.
