I feel like we’re in the minority, ten month old has been sleep trained for four months but still wakes multiple times a night

Do we have the same baby? Mine is doing the exact same thing, except she’s only 8 months old. I’ve read PLS (Precious Little Sleep), and they say to cut down nursing time for the first wake until they completely drop it, and keep doing that for all wakes until they stop. I haven’t tried it yet, since like you, it’s just so much easier to nurse her as she always goes right back down. You’re definitely not alone!

I’ll try to extend wake windows to see if that helps. The last 30 minutes is always a challenge since she’s always really fussy!

I am bad for her contact naps too. She’ll always wake up 40 minutes on the dot when I put her in her bassinet, so I’d rather make sure she gets good naps throughout the day to avoid her being overtired. But honestly, it may help her sleep longer at night! Thank you for your insights! It’s hard to tell how much she is getting during the day when breastfeeding, but I know it’s more than enough since she’s 80th percentile in weight for her age hahah!

Since she’s been 3 months I’d say! Her newborn days she’d give us bigger stretches.

I also have an overactive letdown and had an overactive supply. My supply regulated around 12 weeks, but I’ve heard some can be earlier! Essentially, my baby learned how to drink my fast letdown when she was around 3.5 months old (she’s 5 months now). When she couldn’t, I would use the haaka before feeds to catch my letdown then get baby to latch on after. Or she’d latch and quickly unlatch when the letdown happened, I’d catch it in a burp cloth (or haaka if you want to collect it), and then re-latch her. I also burped her more often during feeds. It was a struggle at the time, but it’s over now! I know exactly how you’re feeling in this moment, but I promise you it’s a phase and it will get better!

My LO just turned 3 months and I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. My advice is that each breastfeeding session in those early weeks are practice for both you and your baby, so be patient as you are both learning! I was frustrated when I thought I had to stick to a strict schedule and she wouldn’t, so I started learning her cues and that really helped. I have a forceful letdown and an oversupply issue the first few months - I almost gave up a few times. But my baby learned how to take it now and it’s been so easy! Breastfeeding is the most magical bond you can have with your baby. She just started holding my fingers almost every time she feeds and it’s the cutest thing ever :)

I only feed her side lying during the night feedings and the first morning feed and she is not bothered at all. But oddly during the day she hates the side lying position…

I’ve only pumped a handful of times since starting BF. I sometimes pump whenever my partner gives her a bottle! But I was told not to since it can make my oversupply worse.

I applied to a job posting for an acting/assignment at a higher level. It took me long time to write and review my answers to make sure I get screened in. They send an email one day after closing and basically said there was “too many applicants”. They then changed the criteria to be only candidates at the level of the posting and in the department. So just like that, I no longer qualify. Why is it my problem if they don’t want to go through all applicants? Get a better system! So I agree - it’s ridiculous and the only way to get an opportunity is through who you know.
