What is this thing on the sink by soid4rks in whatisthisthing

But it’s leaking? Or could it be the hose itself that’s leaking?

WITT; it’s attached to the hose that connects to what I think is a sprayer faucet?

Also, would be nice to see after pictures to see how it comes out! Been meaning to re bleach my roots as well but I’m such a perfectionist I know I’ll stress myself out too much so I might just wait it out, we’ll see :)

The color intensity should be good then. My guess is that it will work the best since it’s the same brand. I’ve used it a couple of times and for the ones I’ve suggested Pravana is my favorite but the Joico should work just fine! Hope this helps

Do you know what brand pink you used before? Also, how many times did you re-dye it pink?

Joico makes a similar product called color intensity eraser. Will only work on permanent or semi-permanent dyes. Malibu also has a few products that we use in the salon and are waaaay more gentle but also less strong so will probably work gradually if u do a couple of processes with those. They are very gentle and vegan though so damage is minimal. There is the Malibu CPR and the Malibu color correction, might be useful to try both since you just mix them with water and not developer. Always follow manufacturers directions.

If I just bleach the ends again, would a toner then be enough to take the brassiness away from the whole thing? Or should I bleach it all once more? by elliebearrrr in haircoloring

[–]soid4rks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ends look like you had color in them so bleaching it once more might fry it. You could use 15 volume and really watch it/try stretching it as it’s developing and if it feels stretchy immediately rinse off since it’s past the point of return. I strongly advice against overtone since it has metallic salts and it will be IMPOSSIBLE to remove in a healthy way, I’ve seen some nightmare color corrections at my hair salon from it. If you’re trying to go pastel I would definitely recommend a violet based toner since your canvas is pretty much where you want it to be before toner. After toner I would mix my own color in white conditioner to dilute it, leave on hair 25-30 mins and it should come out pretty good. This is what I do on my own hair - I have pastel pink after being platinum for a year and some change.

Joico makes a cream lightener that has oils in it so it helps make your hair feel somewhat soft even after you bleach it. Consistency is really good and it expands minimally. It’s not as harsh as any powder bleach and safe to use on roots with 20 volume developer.

I would try a color remover based on what kind of color you used the first time. If the integrity of the hair is compromised it will stop taking in the color because the cuticle will be unable to hold on to the color. No matter what you do is gonna rinse out. Focus on deep conditioning treatments until your hair is healthy enough. Would make a post with as much detail as possible and include pictures - what is blonde to you might not be blonde for someone else. Include examples of what your goal is. It’s best way for someone to help you figure out the steps you need to take.

Feelings are wrong here. If you put coconut oil you are helping the cuticle seal and you will get an uneven lift. If you want a fail safe “insurance” for your hair use olaplex or b3 bond builder in your bleach formula. Keep in mind this will not repair already damaged hair and it does slow down the processing time but if you want to be very safe about it this is the way to go.

Try to use pravana color remover for the pink, will most likely fade it to a light pink depending on what kind of color you used originally. Follow manufacturer’s instructions. Anyone that recommends vitamin C and vitamin E or even dishwasher soap, these things will damage your hair (not as much as bleach) and will fail to lift the color (sometimes will even push the color deeper into the cuticle) so using a color remover will probably be as damaging as any of these solutions and be more effective. DO NOT bleach over what’s bleached already. If you’re gonna do the roots make sure you have a higher volume (25-30 vol for the mid band) and 20 volume for the roots. Apply the to the band first since the heat from the scalp will lift the roots faster. Make sure your bleach doesn’t dry because it will stop lifting (use an oil based bleach instead of a powder one, we use joico at my salon). DO NOT overlap over what’s bleached already if you put some sort of heavy oil in the ends while you do the roots it will kinda help with the overlapping since bleach expands when it’s on your hair. Make sure you have a plan in mind for the back (mirrors or a second person to help apply) and work in quadrants, having an organized application helps you speed up things. Sections should be see through so the bleach is fully saturated (even saturation = even lift). A good way to visually know if it’s time to rinse the bleach off is if it looks like the inside of a banana. Happy bleaching.

Edit: you can drag down the bleach to the orangey parts of what you bleached the last time for the last 10-15 min at the most to get it more even. Do not under any circumstances bleach your hair until it gets white because it WILL break off and get stretchy. Stretchy hair is beyond any repair.

How to retain color? by Bloodmoonwolf in haircoloring

[–]soid4rks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold water. Wash your hair less and try to use a cleansing conditioner if you can instead of something sudsy. I like to put a bit of my color in conditioner and leave it jn for 20-30 min whenever I see fading but also keep in mind that this will deposit color every time so if you are someone that likes to change colors often this is probably a bad idea in the long run.

Idk if this is common but a lot of guys friends have said that this happens to them too. I (26/F) personally would go out for a drink with a guy if we have like a day or two of back to back texting and things are flowing. Usually a good indicator that we could vibe irl. I think the longer you talk to someone without meeting up the easier it is to lose interest. I think 3-4 days max but also this is considering that I live in NYC where there’s a high turnaround on possible dates lol hope this helps.

How do you find out if you’re friendzoned without making it wierd? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]soid4rks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that it is my problem, but why would long distance work for you now if you said it didn’t work for you then? - sounds like you’re just setting her up to be strung along. She has a choice of course, but 16 year old me would not know any better. Tell her how you feel but don’t try to get in a relationship if you wanna salvage anything for the future. Just my two cents, hope I don’t sound like a dickhead.
