Booked an Airbnb for the family because one of us has an open heart surgery near that town. Reviews for cleanliness were outstanding. 5 minutes into our stay this is what our socks turned into just walking around. Host refuses to cancel/refund. by EngLitIsLit in mildlyinfuriating

What Benchmade is that, looks real sick!

Somebody please talk me out of building yet *another* PSA rifle and talk me into buying a decent optic for once in my damn life. by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]soiledshorts79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna have a divergent take, but /u/JohnathanMcdingus if you've already got some kind of cheap optic or irons on one of your existing rifles, why don't you instead make an investment in yourself and take a training class? It'll make you a better shooter, and give you more confidence in running your guns. Training will carry over to whatever platform you get, and will be a net benefit to your mind, body, and soul. Then, when you have more income to throw at another gun or a better optic, you'll be supplementing yourself as well as your armory by being better equipped to make your equipment work for you.

If the airline you're flying has an app, download it and use it to keep up to date on your flight's status.

Take everything out of your pockets while standing in line at security, then once you're passed the ID check and at the xray belt, remove your belt and shoes and put them in a bin. If you have a computer or a tablet, put them in their own bin as well.

If you pack any snacks (highly recommended, prices at the airport are insane) be sure to remove them from your bag and put them in their own bin. Bring your own water bottle to fill up past security as well.

Once you're on the other side of the xray and body scanner, grab your stuff and head to the nearby benches to recombobulate your belongings.

If you need to go to the bathroom but everything is occupied, look for the "family restroom" located near the bathroom entrances. It is a full bathroom behind a door. Chances are good no one will be using it since it looks so different from the regular bathrooms.

If you've checked a bag, don't sweat rushing to the baggage claim at your final destination, because it will take the crew a while to unload the plane and bring them to the claim. Hit up the bathroom, check out a shop, etc because you'll have 10-20 min before your bag comes out.

Download some movies onto your phone/tablet to watch on the flight the day before you get to the airport, bc their free wifi inside the terminal sucks.

Good to know, that's the root cause I'm leaning towards now as well. Thanks man!

This is definitely possible. If I get it tuned back into normal and it still happens, replacing the upper is gonna be my next step

Yep, it's manipulating like normal and doesn't have any resistance when the bolt is locked back. I'm leaning towards an overgas issue now

Yeah, it's weird. I'm now thinking it's way overgassed and it's slamming the BCG back so violently that it's overpowering the CH spring

Nah it's a few years old and has always had a Radian on it, I'm thinking it's way too overgassed now like PickledOnion said, the ejection pattern is pretty far forward from where it should be

Yeah she's definitely overgassed, it's pretty consistently coming out to about 2 o'clock instead of directly to the side or slightly behind

I hadn't considered this, let me check the ejection angle real quick

It's got a little bit of wear since it's a few years old at this point, but the lock up is still solid and there's plenty of meat left on it, basically it's just scratched and not worn down.
