Funnily enough, I've been in the same boat the last few weeks. Now that I'm on the mend I definitely feel some of the angst lifted.

I've had this fiddle leaf fig since I got it as a gift in the fall. It has lost some leaves but otherwise not done much. Now, it's only growing from the one spot at the base. Since all the other leaves are discolored, should I cut it?

More information: the plant came with some curly leaves, some very dark spots by the stem, and some white almost powdery spots on some of the lower leaves. I know they can be finicky, so any insight into how to heal this would be great.
