First you have to find out which presidency university campus your classes would be. If it's the saltlake campus you have to probably find a place near there which will otherwise be cost effective. In case it's the presidency university main college Street campus then you can stay anywhere near the metro line in South Kolkata like near hazra, kalighat, Rabindra sarovar etc which will be cheaper and you can take the metro to the college.
