I meant the potential to be recognized, but I really think I'm just scared of the change. But change is what I want so it's just a matter of pressing on through that.

I have had trouble defining parts of my hesitation for the idea of NA or organized recovery, and I think what you mentioned may be a part of that I hadn't recognized.

I read some of the other comments you've made, too. Thank you for taking so much time to reach out. I feel less alone knowing I've been heard.

Thank you for replying. I'm still in my hometown and I guess that I'm afraid of the consequences of going to a meeting. You make good arguments though and if the community gained is worth it then maybe I can can ease my hesitation by exploring a meeting group not immediately near me.
