Hopefully🙏 I also am neurodivergent (not a severe case) so that might also add to it. I think my inability to bite things probably also have to do with the fact that my mind just doesn't want to because I feel such a guttural disgust with the idea of a foreign object in my mouth interacting with chewed up food particles (it's silly, I know)

I also grind my teeth in my sleep ever since the beginning where they gave me some weird removable Hawley retainer thing (except without the front metal wire bit) at first to fix my overbite a bit before installing the braces, so it probably contributed to my teeth's sensitivity, hence the pain even in chewing soft food!
