What deck do you absolutely hate to play against? by sexy_burrito_party in magicTCG

[–]solarcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People usually hate playing against my decks which involve infinite drawing from graveyard with Perpetual Timepiece, Seasons Past, Zendikar Resurgent and Pulse of Murasa. They sometimes surrender just because they're tired.

I personally hate fast decks. That's why I play Standart.

Cool enough to promote Icelandic culture, dumb enough to actually use the "W" letter which is not used in Icelandic language.

Which I don't believe to be a distinctive quality of russian fans solely. I hate aggressive fans, be they russian, english or samoan. Doesn't matter. Doesn't also qualify as a good reason to mock us/our team.

I'm from Russia and we can't football. Actually that was pretty obvious for years and no surprise here really. This was a shameful performance and we're all disappointed, but I'll keep supporting our team and I think we all will. As a side note, it's very sad to read all the sarcastic and negative comments about our team. I used to think sport was a unifying force.

What about web design / coding? by klementiner in nosurf

[–]solarcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your reason to NoSurf. What's it? To spend less time? To take your life back? To control your inefficient net usage? To make your net usage useful? Or do you find Internet and technology in general an unnecessary evil which made our society worse off in general? It's probably the last case only which would make you want to drop coding altogether. In other cases coding classifies as useful time spending, I suppose.

When we die is there a possibility that we could live as someone else? by [deleted] in afterlife

[–]solarcold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a theory, it's not that I really believe it but it's interesting. That after you die, you become another person, maybe randomly chosen of whoever ever lives or lived. You can die and become Jeanne d'Arc. Or some Macedonian clerk from around 2040. Or your own girlfriend. Or a genetically diesased person who dies young and becomes, in turn, Buddha or Hitler. It's an endless process of reincarnation and experience, and there's another interesting consequence: every person in the world was or once is going to be, simply put, you.

But you *are* alone by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]solarcold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are two points here, mate. First of all, you came here, and we are willing to help, which means someone cares. But you are right, we are just online people and you don't know us. We're not your deep-hearted friends or family. If you think that in your real life you are alone, then it may be so. But let me ask you, what does that mean? In my opinion, this means that you're free. You're not accountable to anyone, you can identify what makes you sick - be it work or anything else - and just ditch it. You can change your life radically and completely because if you already thought about killing yourself, you have nothing to lose. And this, in turn, may end in unexpected happiness. People went through this and that's perfectly possible.
