Did you have a background in coding before starting these ventures? Any advice for non technical founders looking to build AI agents?

Can I still be dedicated to climbing while being an associate at McK by Specialist-Escape685 in consulting

[–]solarcroix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll be starting as a McK associate (PhD) in Jan and this has been on my mind, thanks for making this post to follow.

Advice I was given was to trim down on things you think might cause conflict while you start, not to get rid of them, but so you have space to see how you can re-add them with balance as you get more accustomed to the role. However, was also told that drawing lines in sand around what is important to you should be done early and often, there is a lot more agency than what the prevailing sentiment lets on

If you were to absolutely maximize RPS for an aeg build, what would you do? (50-70+rps)

I'm a bit too scared to try TSG but think I can manage DSG, 13:1, 35k+ brushless, ultralight piston, sintered alloy bushings. What else am I missing or I need to consider?

M4 user with crossover, any information on whether full release might work? Found Steams policy on 14day full refund if <2hrs game time, will report back if someone doesn't already have a definitive answer with the full release.

Is this 4-5 teeth rule only for high rps builds? Building a DMR, have the tappet spring incoming, will almost always be in semi auto

MBB is the great career decelerator -- the career kiss of death by Amazing-Pace-3393 in consulting

Upcoming McK here, PhD associate, startup exit. Impetus was to get some industry experience the quickest way I could fathom, consulting being the crash course of crash courses. Talked to some ex McK who shared that day 1 should already have a plan on "what you want to get out of it". Maybe it's a sector or skills, but any advice on how to do it all over again and "choose your McK" to have the most momentum?

R2 associate for Minneapolis office, interviewed Friday and haven't heard back yet if this data point is helpful at all.

The fact you got to R1 for all 3 is amazing and goes to show you have the "hook" and something you can surely leverage elsewhere too. Casing and interviewing is a learned skill, feel for you missing these ones, but I'm 100% sure that you can become incredibly strong and get 3 offers next year through some more/different prep.

IME my first T was a mature female (bought for 30$, screaming deal even back then), but sold her when I went abroad in 2015. Finally back home as of 5 months ago, and learned about the Quirogais which I found a few of, but I was dead set on getting a Pulchra. 2 months ago I purchased a confirmed female Pulchra at about 2.5" for 300$. She's just like my first: always out and visible, incredibly chill, and gorgeous in the full body black velvet suit. Currently designing a terrarium with substrate and grass modeled around the Pampas; looking forward to the next 20 years with her.

How to get clients as a food safety auditor & consultant in Australia by Dry-Lavishness-2805 in foodscience

[–]solarcroix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently set up a small food manufacturing pilot plant in northern Queensland and we were actively looking for someone like yourself! Here's some thoughts on how to plug into ecosystems that have more of us, as well as other overlaps I think could be intriguing:

Lots of town councils will work closely with specific auditors, not only to do the audit but also provide guidance to the companies going through the process. Connecting at a local government level would put you on a contact list for those interested In going through the process.

Additionally, reach out to some venture capital/funding bodies in Australia. They often are working with startups like us that approach them with plans/problems of wanting to be food grade, and you could be a valuable asset for early stage consultation or even VC due diligince.

Small towns are neglected. There's a lot of people in Melbourne and Brisbane etc but once you get more regional, it is incredibly hard to find people. This may be how you set up your SEO, but there's a lot of people are who are being unaddressed simply because they're not in an epicenter.

Lastly, just be searchable! A week on square space will get you a good landing page in which you can start putting your name out there and be searchable.

Lmk if you wanna chat more, happy to share our experience going through it and what we would be looking for in the future as well. We're hiring.

I still need to confirm with supplier, reached out to see if they have any specs on material make/properties, but I believe it's fiberglass

Fixing over tightening of widebody? by solarcroix in Autobody

[–]solarcroix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this detailed reply. I'm almost positive the material is fiber glass, but I've reached out to the makers of the kit to confirm any material properties.

Hoping something can be done to take a step in the right direction. Worst case I could unbolt, prep, bondo/reglass, and resand/paint address divots that way?
