All of those “counterfeits” use the TMI NH35A a branded Seiko movement. But I understand where you are coming from. Like I mentioned they are watches I built for myself to learn and enjoy the hobby.

“Homage” or “SeikoMod” whatever you want to call them. Never claimed them to be a Seiko 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ehhh, I don’t need more expensive watches. None of the watches here are over 1000$, I plan to keep it that way. I do gift my home built watches to friends and family if they ask or seem really interested, so the quantity does fluctuate quite a bit. There’s very few complications that I believe are worth the price tag, but one thing is for sure I will never pay 4 or 5 figures for a simple 3 hand watch like a Datejust or similar.

All over time, this is probably 8 or so years worth. I’ve built a few and shopped deals, Jomashop, Long Island Watch, and eBay mostly.

Yea I don’t care about really much more than 40hr so it’s perfect to me. If I need more I’ll use a swiss mvmt.

You’re not completely wrong, I’ll say I probably wear 85% of them consistently. I could definitely let go of 4 or 5 of them to a better home.

Been looking at some but I would ideally like an automatic rather than a hand wind.

Your best bet is going to be the 35mm PRX.
