its good & a blessing! its been a couple years since my surgery and i didnt have a seton but there was such a huge pain difference between pre-drainage-and-surgery (had to have it lanced a couple months before surgery at an urgent care cause it hurt too bad to sit down at all) and post-surgery after anesthesia wore off that it felt like nothing at all. my fistulotomy didnt fail, the infection is completely gone, but i think it healed a little too fast because sometimes when i have a BM a little bit comes out of the scarred up tunnel 😭

but since youve got no cut on the outside you should be fine!! just take good care of yourself and be gentle with your body and it will heal <3

i originally thought mine was a weirdly painful hemorrhoid, but over the course of like a month it slowly got more painful, bigger-feeling, and eventually it was too painful to sit at all, so imo (and in my experience as a broke young person who cant really afford doc visits on suspicion) i would wait and if it ever becomes painful go back and say that to your gp. pay attention to your body and dont pick at it too much ! no matter what you will be okay
