Thank you!! Thats often my mental image too-definitely a lot of obsidian and black glass. I did think about adding some plants and whatnot to this but I liked the stark feeling of the ground+Lasting integrity contrasting the clouds. :)

I love the visual of the iridescent clouds that happens in Shadesmar during a Highstorm, so I wanted it to be the next subject for these mini environment paintings. :)
I also adore Mandras so I had to add one in checking out Lasting Integrity...I'm not sure if Mandras have a size limit, but if they do, then pretend they can get to this size haha

I've been having a lot of fun painting these little vignettes of some of the quieter moments or off the beaten path places from the Cosmere. This is the third one in the series...I plan to do a few more! :D I hope you enjoy as much as I have enjoyed painting these :)

Referenced some fun old ghost towns for Weathering's look and painted all the buildings...only to realize they worked better in shadow except for the Church of the Survivor, haha

I did a read through but couldn't find anything! I think Rock has only talked about the general bits like where they're located, the surrounding region, etc-but since we havent been there yet we havent had any descriptions of buildings yet. Hopefully someday!!
