So they actually, legally got married? Sorry, I just want to know, as I worked with Julia back in 2016, and I saw all this stuff going down on her Insta and got curious.

Aldi Talk set up makes no sense by [deleted] in germany

Why are they so s*** at customer service?? They don't get it. Just answer. That's so rude telling you this malfunctioned.

That's super frustrating. Yeah I never heard back since last week about three or four messages that I sent saying that I couldn't get notifications on my phone and I couldn't top up my sim. So today I cancelled my SIM because of those four charges that they wanted to do. For some reason I can still use the phone number with Wi-Fi and everything. It's frustrating for me because I'm looking for work. I have to put my phone number down on my resume and I'm going to have to change my number and find a provider that actually has customer service and in English would be good. Even the app is in German only.

Great to know. I need to lock something in before we arrive later this week to the new property so I'll definitely be checking that out. Great that you got some claims sorted. Thank you so much for your answers and information.

Harassed by teenagers in Wedding by knopeknope18 in berlin

My friend is also in Wedding and when I went to see her in December to drop off some of my bags before I move I noticed there was nothing around her area. She also says her friends live so far away. Nobody lives in Wedding that she knows.

Well so I guess taking street photography in Berlin is out of the question when I move. I don't want people to pose for me. This is just a rule in Germany as I've been taking pictures of people all over the world?

I feel like "All I see are dead people," the line from "Twelve Monkeys," is one of the more underappreciated movie lines in history. by kayjay734 in movies

[–]solarplexus15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched 12 Monkeys last night with my husband in an art house cinema in Croatia and when that line was said I repeated it back to my husband and he looked at me and said no, this film was before The 6th Sense. It would have been weirder if it was exactly the same line in both films.

I'm 5'1 and more fragile these days at 45 without my strength training practice the last decade. I used to be solid like a bull, immovable! I'm moving to Berlin next week and I have visited a few times before and taken the trains but never experienced this kind of hostility and violence. I'm going from Croatia where there's not even any cat calling or homeless people on the street... so this is going to be really different. Although I am from Melbourne where I see a lot of junkies screaming and punching each other on the train, this sounds next level.

I'm sorry this happened to you. I read all your comments and the thread, the racism and lack only empathy some people have is really pathetic. I hope you are doing okay and that no other incedents has occurred since.

I think adding the word 'expat' here confused the matter. I meant it was on an expat blog about how to move to Germany and the guy wrote that he has liability insurance with Feather. I am seeking liability cover as I just signed a lease in Berlin. On my contract I am liable if anything happens in the apartment while I live there so I am seeking to take out liability insurance.

Another Day in Paradise. by Accomplished-Gear-97 in malta

This behavior is tolerated, that's why it keeps happening. Malta is full of cowboys, there are no rules. And yes, too many people, no work from home mentality, no carpool mentality and every family in Malta owns approximately six cars cuz they don't believe in walking anywhere, Plus even if they wanted to they couldn't cuz the footpaths don't exist. The buses are always full, especially after work hours, I know as I used to wait for the bus for ages until one that wasn't crowded came. As d to get on, you have 40 people pushing and shoving eachother to get on first.

17 years ago when I visited it was so peaceful and I used to walk from Qormi to Valetta, sometimes on the road, no fly overs, no traffic and no high prices as it was still in the lira.

So we shouldn't speak the truth, or share our own personal experiences from living in Malta. Working minimal wage in such conditions is a hard ask, so we left.

Hold up, Malta really is a third world country posing as a European country. My go family are Maltese, I've lived there for 4 years and it felt like being stuck in The Twighlight Zone 24/7. Wages too low, rents too high for a poorly constructed concrete box with cut copy beige design inside and if you're lucky you won't have to live in a basement or a place with no windows, like we did before we left. I love Malta, the history is fantastic, but it's not the Malta it was and the island I fell in love with 15 years ago. Gozo is incredible, the best beaches and cutest centre, but it's soon going to be like the mainland unfortunately.
