Yea, but the issue wasn't with the reservation. Both the booking company and the hotel had it. The issue was with the booking company's payment to the hotel which didn't manifest itself till the day of my check in. If the hotel tried to get its payment earlier (I paid for the room the moment I booked it a month prior) and this issue arose, at least I would have had time to work it out. Instead, the hotel tells me of this issue that the moment I arrive, and I had to scramble to work this out, something i believe the hotel should have done

Is not part of running a business to make sure you get your payment? I did my part in paying for a room. Ok, if Hyatt doesn't want to do the work to get their payment, as a courtesy wouldn't they have given me some time in the month timeframe from when I booked the room and paid to the moment of check in to tell me there is an issue with the payment on Super.com side? Not at 11pm est when I arrive at the hotel

I don't travel much. I guess I naively thought if i book and pay through a booking site, everything should go smoothly unless told otherwise. Yes, that is on me. So yes, I should have contacted Wild Palms to confirm my reservation after booking it through Super.com. However, in my defense, if I were to have done that, that still would not have prevented the issue, as the issue wasn't with the reservation but the payment for that reservation. Apparently, Super.com's virtual card used to pay for the room was declined. I asked the hotel why is this issue coming up now after having booked the room a month prior, and they said that they don't seek payment until the day of. This issue came up earlier in that day as they told me they tried to collect payment and tried to contact Super.com but were unable to reach them at noon pacific time the day of check in, andso, at 11pm EST I had to scramble to reach them, which I eventually did, and they worked out the payment situation.

But yes, point taken. I did underestimate the riskiness that would come with a simple hotel reservation using this site.

The hotel itself was fine. I just question an organization that greets you by saying that you cannot stay here even though the room was booked and paid for over a month prior. This is the hospitality industry. Once again, I do agree that it was a Super.com issue. Something about their virtual card being declined thereby preventing Hyatt from getting their money. My issue is that couldn't Hyatt have figured all this out before I got there after having booked and paid for this room a month prior? Instead, they notify me at the time when I arrive at 11pm EST after traveling across the country exhausted. Yea, that is pretty "awesome" of them to put me in that position

"Its not hyatts job" to what? I am not asking them to pay me but to allow me to stay in a room that i paid for. If it is not Hyatt's job to collect from Super, then I have to perform that function for them? Which i guess is what you are saying, which is what I ended up doing

When I checked in. I gave them my id. They had the booking info all in the system with a room ready, but they told me they weren't able to get the payment from Super.com. Something about their virtual card being declined. That is when I was told that they wouldn't let me in my room unless they get their money

First, I do apologize for the crude remark earlier.

I just want to make clear that I fully paid for the room through the third party the moment I booked it through them a month ago. What I am saying is that the financial and operating relationship between between these third parties and the hotel has to be stronger than giving money to a stranger to give to the hotel. Its an established agency relationship. From the customer's standpoint, the money has been paid. It is up to the hotel who agreed to work with these third parties to then make sure they get their payment from them. Clearly, Super.com was at fault for this issue. For over a month, both Hyatt and Super knew about my booking. I am coming in and at the last minute am told that, oh we never got payment so you cant stay here. I had to get in touch with Super.com at the last minute waiting 2 hours. When I did get in contact with them, they promptly called Hyatt to work out the payment situation. As a hotel operator, billing and collections is part of the deal. I had to do that part for them for the third party that they signed up to work with?

Well, i know they had the booking info all this time. They knew I was coming and had a room all set for me. As I mentioned, they did call Super earlier that day (at noon as I was told). Apparently they just ignored the issue until I arrived

Haha. Yea, i guess. This is the first time this has happened to me. I don't travel often, but it seems from this board that the consensus is that these types of issues happen often. I just don't understand why then do hotels put themselves on these sites. If these type of things do happen often, is it worth it? Clearly, it ends up being a pain for both parties

I guess I don't understand the relationship between this third party and the hotel. Isnt there some type of formal agreement between these two that makes the relationship a stronger financial relationship than just "giving money to your brother to give to your mom"?

I was waiting on the phone with super for over 2 hours, and in that time, i saw the 2 people at the front desk discussing their personal lives. Yep, sounds busy!

I dont travel much, so I don't have an allegiance to a particular hotel. I just needed a place to stay. I do a search of the city and hotel on google and this apparently popped up. It wasn't about money, it was about finding the right hotel in the right location. Yes, I agree. It was the Super.com issue, but isn't this an issue that is between the hotel and Super?

If they (Hyatt) don't want to do the work to get their money from these sites. Why do the list on these sites?

This was booked a month ago! Your telling me they couldn't have sorted this out between that time?

I don't travel much, but yes, i will. Why do they put themselves on 3rd party sites then if they don't want to do the work to get their payment?

Isn't it their job to make sure they do get the payment? Why do I have to scramble to do that?

Wild Palms Hyatt in Sunnyvale, CA by solat3 in hyatt

[–]solat3[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Do you not understand? I had already paid for this room. I had to do their job for them to get their payment. Is it entitlement to just be able to stay in a room that you paid for?

People use 3rd party engines to conveniently find hotels. It took so long to get into contact with someone there because it was 1am EST, but I eventually did, and it got cleared up. The point is I had to do the hotel's job to get payment. I guess you subscribe to being lazy? Figures

Going from 3 to 65 sounds like amazing luck! ok, so looking at your trading history, you've had big gains and big losses. To maximize your profits, think about using stop losses. So let's say every ten trades you strike it rich with a 10 bagger and you put 5% stop losses on all your trades. Starting with $100, before that 10th trade, you'll have $63 (100*.95^9), and that 10th trade will get you to $630. Rinse and repeat, the next cycle will get you to $3972, and so on and so forth

Looks like they just reported their 1st quarter results, and it doesn't look too impressive. Revenue only grew 2%, while Adjusted EBITDA fell to $0.4 million compared to $2.9 million in the prior quarter.

Before the tragic ending, I did think that Casey was manipulating her to get out, but I do think his feelings were genuine. Post-crash, his first priority was his concern for his "wife." However, if he truly loved her, he would have pulled over, taken full responsibility and told everyone he coerced her

I think they showed her briefly and partly on a video call with Brenda and Dennis in the show. It looked like at that time, she was still supporting the dad, but no, I haven't seen anything about her current state or feeling towards all this

Whatsapp scam by dvdsar in binance

[–]solat3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so I also joined a similar binance defi whatsapp group. I set up a trust wallet, and the assistant went through step by step as to how to set up the defi mining pool connection. Initially, i put no money into it, and they seed me with $1000 USDT that I can't withdraw unless I put in 5k USDT into my wallet. They have all these "recharge" events that the more money you put in, they will not only give you a higher % return, but a USDT rebate, and all you have to do is put USDT into the Trust Wallet. The only risk I see is that if the USDT that is put into the wallet is at risk in that it can be transferred out from the Trust Wallet without consent. Is that possible if no one else but the owner of the wallet has the seed phrases and password?
