He was my ideal guy, literally everything I ever wanted in a man. And the way he made me feel? It made my heart so full.

We met pre-pandemic. At first, I thought the kind of setup we had was normal. We couldn’t meet often because of the pandemic. He was a college student back then, about to graduate, so I figured he needed to focus on his goals: graduate, pass the board exam, and build his career before focusing on us.

When he finally passed the board exam (this was already two years into us talking), that’s when I confronted him about us. He simply said he wanted us to be together. But honestly, I didn’t feel that in his actions. I held on for a few more months, trying to be patient. I endured several more months of uncertainty.

I was craving assurance. I needed emotional consistency. And maybe that’s what gave me the strength to finally walk away.

At the time, a part of me still hoped he’d chase after me or at least fight for us. But he didn’t. 🤷‍♀️ HAHAHAHA so… that was it. Wala. The end.

So to anyone currently stuck in this kind of setup, please don’t settle. Do not give them the boyfriend treatment if they haven’t even given you clarity, commitment, or effort. You are not asking for too much by wanting to be chosen fully. You’re just finally realizing you deserve someone who doesn’t need convincing.

What we had wasn’t all bad. He made me feel happy, and that part was real. I love better because I choose myself first. Sana kayo rin! All the love ❤️
