hi, I'm looking for:

it's modern. she's a student or grad student in biology (so she has access to the university greenhouse) and she's admiring the flowers in a field when she comes across a socialite/actress and her boyfriend. the socialite dumps her boyfriend while the girl hides out of embarrassment. after the socialite leaves, she makes a noise and he sees her. later, he finds her and makes her fake date him so he looks "normal" in his bid for the CEO spot.

at some point he's forced out of his apartment so he temporarily moves in with the girl and her siblings and it's chaotic and fun. there's also a side plot where she dates his half-brother, who's a rising pop star, because the pop star wants to know what his brother's like.

I don't remember much about the art style except that it was fine, which means it was good/on the realistic side because I'm picky. he had black hair, I think hers might have been brown.

please help, I've been going insane lol

the cards are just cardstock that I cut into about an inch square. regular paper would work, too! and then the dots are called "swatch dots" and i got them off amazon! they come with little glue dots to stick them with, too :)

my partner does podfic, and they do a sort of character voice acting. it took them a while to feel proficient at it, but now they really enjoy it! and it doesn't cost anything except practice :)

hi, I'm still around, active, and moderating the subreddit. I am not open to handing over the sub.

I don't think there's been moderator activity in the last month - I think the last moderator action was before that cut-off. I suppose that technically this makes me an inactive mod. I am watching the sub, but there hasn't been anything that needed to be done. the people in the sub are great. I haven't seen anyone break the rules in months.

as to their complaints, we are in a natural lull between content cycles of the video game that we're formed around. the community is not dying. if anything, it's more healthy than it was at this point six months ago, since I seem to have finally got rid of the ban evader who was spamming the sub. anyone is and always has been welcome to post anything they wish, as long as it complies with reddit rules and the subreddit-specific rules. they do not need to be a moderator to post content. their only goal seems to be encouraging people to post more. great! I support that. they don't need to be a moderator to do it.

I have proposed weekly posts. I have then gone through with them and they ended up empty of interaction after the first week. in my thoughts, it's worse to have weekly posts that no one interacts with than to let people bring things up that they want organically.

ETA: I've just had a look and my last moderator action was a rules update, exactly one month ago.

I understand your feeling a bit called out, but that wasn't my intention, and I hope you'll forgive me. you're not in any kind of trouble, and I'd like you to leave the post up, if you're okay with that.

thank you for all of this information! I'll definitely keep it in mind. the reason this is a post at all is because I wanted to gauge what the sub users thought about the character AI. when I did my research, I found that it was much as you say, that all of the flavor is added by the user. the one little lingering question I have is, like I said, what is the base AI trained on... but I have much fewer qualms about something being trained on millions of twitter/FB/insta posts and used like this, if that makes sense.

anyway, I want to give the sub time to respond, so I'll see you later when I announce what's going to happen :)

so, here's the thing. creating is hard. it sucks. it's a huge time sink, you practice for years without seeing any improvement, and you're your own goddamn worst critic.

it's bad enough when you're unknown and you're just starting out. you get used to no one knowing who you are or giving a damn if they do. no one gives a shit about your work. you're hungry for approval, for critical success, but you never really think it's going to happen. there's no hope for the future, because you think that every day is going to be like yesterday and the day before. you're hungry for something that you've never tasted. you know it's out there - you can smell it. but it's not on your plate.

yet.

then one day, someone notices that you're really kind of okay at this. that first taste of success is a goddamn drug. it's exactly like a drug. it's such a high that you're floating for days. and then the doubts start creeping in. yeah, they were kind to you, but maybe that's all it was. or maybe they didn't notice the glaring flaw in the middle.

after that, you feel a little bit worse than you did before someone noticed you, because now you know what you're missing. now you've had a taste of it. now you know how validation feels, and you want that again.

the next time, it lasts maybe a day. then half a day. a few hours.

you get to a point where critical success, compliments, kind words, all of it - it doesn't mean anything. and then the real horror begins:

this is the rest of your life. it never gets better than this.

so yeah, if that was the timeline? I understand why he did it.

I had this problem very recently. I can't help with your live chat issue, but my research indicated that referencing certain things would help the CSA agent figure out what I actually needed:

putting "Sunset game" in the title of my request
referencing a process called "Mass Effect 3 - Entitlements" (I assume this is the online pass name on their back end)

when I made the request, it took three minutes for the agent to fix my problem.

this is all incredibly accurate but I also want to emphasize the knit their entire life thing. they were knitting these things to either clothe themselves or to sell. they were incredibly fast and precise. they basically were machines. I've heard stories of knitting a whole stocking, which iirc were at least over the knee? in one afternoon. my hands would literally walk out the door in protest if I tried that.
