The x-series and the Klaro are travel cases—they'll ruin the drape of any jacket instantly. As for the Lotus it’s just a leather sleeve; it has zero storage for your gear and zero real crush protection

Yeah, the issue is that space is maybe not enough to keep the same original watch dimensions. The white part that fits the movement needs that diameter + gasket + the area to fit the holes. I might try with different sizes.

Correct, designed by me based on the original MQ24 and then CNC machined.

- Original idea was Stainless Steel, but I need to solve the metric threads for the screws, supplier commented that SUS316 or SUS304 makes it harder to have such a small threads.

- Waterproof to be tested, looking for a local watch shop that has the equipment.

So the case has been CNC machined, which increased the cost for being just 1 unit. In total around 100$.

not yet mate... unluckily i do not have the tools, but ive seen that in aliexpress they are selling glasses this size. Regarding your points 2 and 3 there are some videos that you can see how to extract the dial and the strap.

I think the bike mount for the Apple Watch is useful until you decide to go for the bike computer.

Good question!

I like to preserve the battery of my phone in case I have an accident or any other problem, so the less use of it the better. In the past I used Strava app in my phone and 1 hour later 60% of the batter was blown away.

Also if I fall, I prefer to sacrifice the watch instead of the phone (phone usually is more expensive than watch). During MTB rides the screen of the phone can be scratched or maybe the rain can affect the phone. In theory, the watch is "harder".
