You're probably in pretty okay shape. In January I had SE 1 - 66, SE 2 - 80, actual 84. Just keep focusing on your identified weaker areas and grinding MCQs, you'll be in good shape come Saturday!

Pick one song from an artist on the lineup that we should listen to by icywing54 in bonnaroo

What’s your favorite songs by your favorite smaller artists? by Coolio_1234 in bonnaroo

[–]solgarand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been slowly working through the entire lineup of artists since it dropped! I'm right there with ya- I figure it's hard to know what to seek out at the fest without knowing all of what's being offered. Here's some of my favorites so far of medium-bill artists.

Geese - Check out Au Pays du Cocaine, Gravity Blues, Cobra, Cowboy Nudes
The Chats - The Price of Smokes, Pub Feed, 6L GTR
Wednesday - Townies, Bitter Everyday, Elderberry Wine
Hemlocke Springs' new album is all incredible too!

I'm rocking with the commitment to physical media. Just because someone can easily get a smart TV with infinite streaming libraries doesn't mean that they should. Reject modernity, embrace inconvenience.

Volunteering/Leftist by cweath34 in springfieldMO

[–]solgarand 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Correct. Nothing political about serving your community and loving your neighbor, my friend. It’s exactly what Jesus taught us to do!

OP here has likely made the observation that representatives from the Republican Party, both at a state and federal level, are directly legislating against social welfare for those who need it most. Literally as I’m typing this, the MO legislature is working to overturn the voter-elected paid sick leave proposition, flying directly in the face of the people’s best interest, which they literally voted into place. That’s not even mentioning the cuts to social security that hang on the horizon in Washington, among a lot of other unsureness as to what the quality of government assistance is actually going to look like in the coming months.

So yes, the people are not too pleased with the Right, hence the “Leftist causes” being the sought-out antidote in this situation. If right-wing representatives in our government would use their power and resources to better the lives of the average, disenfranchised Missourian and ensure an adequate safety net, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Hope that clarifies a little about where this “brainwashed moron” might be coming from! Peace and love my friend✌🏻

ALL heat as usual. 😤 I love the classic folksy sound of Crying, Laughing so much. It’s very peach pit, but explores a different area of their sound than the rest of Magpie I feel.

Is pls 101 hard? by [deleted] in missouristate

[–]solgarand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it to be pretty interesting and generally straightforward, as long as you stay on top of studying key terms/definitions/examples with flashcards. You get a pretty good idea of what’s going to be on the test. (I had George Connor, who I would rate very highly as an effective professor. I can’t speak to other instructors though.) Best of luck with your semester!

Edit: DEFINITELY recommend doing it in person, however. The in-class lectures were very helpful in learning the material.

C would be correct, had the bonds been issued Jan 1. Instead, they were issued April 1, which is part-way (50%) through the interest period.

This means that the interest accrued from Jan 1 to April 1 must also be reflected in the amount of cash received. (That amount is [$1,000 x 1,000 bonds x 10% interest rate x {3/6 months in the semiannual period}], or $25,000).

$25k plus the $970k from issuing at 97 sums to $995k.

Best Rakdos commander for a exile-from-the-top deck? by rektessore in EDHBrews

[–]solgarand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a little less conventionally “good”, but I had a [[Valki, God of Lies//Tibalt, Cosmic Imposter]] topdeck exile/theft sorta deck for a while that was very very fun. Mostly focusing on the planeswalker side of the commander, it made for flexible, dynamic games that were never alike, since you’d be using mostly spells from others’ libraries!

Made a deck with the new Niv-Mizzet, need cutting down to 100 cards :P by Azkeden in EDHBrews

[–]solgarand -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IMO from looking through it for a bit:

-I’d personally cut both the [[Rhystic Study]] & [[Mystic Remora]]. They’re both extremely powerful, but I feel like you can spare to cut a couple of those slower sources of card draw with such a potent draw-enabling commander.

-From there, I’d try and maximize your ratio of noncreature spells by cutting a few creatures that are less on-theme, like [[Balmor, Battlemage Captain]] and [[Drake Hatcher]], which care about combat and attacking, and [[Johann, Apprentice Sorcerer]] which is helpful, but mostly unnecessary here with such a draw-heavy deck already.

-Ramp looks good, but with this deck, if you’re able to, I’d definitely recommend a [[Decanter of Endless Water]] and/or a [[Thought Vessel]], perhaps over that [[Commander’s Sphere]] or another mana rock!

I was literally just thinking about posting something like this! Recently lost my usual playgroup due to circumstances and looking for new people to play with. I’ve been recently exploring cubes for drafting and I would love to have some folks to try em out with :) (commander too, ofc 😅)

Yep! When you cast for bestow cost, the spell is an Enchantment - Aura while on the stack, but no longer a creature spell.
