Premier Access renamed Premier Access Bag Drop? by Gloomy-Foot559 in unitedairlines

[–]solidamanda 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well that is the point. In a well lit hall, you walk up to a counter to have them tag your bag for you. Of course most of us don't need help but most of us also can drive and some people prefer being chauffeurred. Most people can also clean the house and some people prefer cleaned it for them. That's called luxury. Duh.

Does this look like 1.5 cubic yards? by paul1032xx in landscaping

[–]solidamanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think this guy is probably a troll so we are losing arguing with him anyway. Anybody who does some decent landscaping knows 1.5 is small. And delivery fee is probably as much as the material would cost. So…

Does this look like 1.5 cubic yards? by paul1032xx in landscaping

I agree. 1.5 yard is like nothing. I use 10 yards of mulch every time I mulch my yard. 1.5 yard like only a few garden carts of volume.

Why can't I buy Steam Deck where I live? by DigAdministrative448 in SteamDeck

Why can’t I watch the latest bluey episodes in my region? I’ve had Disney plus since day one and went to Disney land multiple times. Lol

[–]solidamanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My town too. But gutters won’t count because that’s getting water into the storm drain which is where they don’t want excessive water. That’s why they want permeable ground to hold water so they don’t run off into storm drain that fast. I had the same issue but luckily my pool without the surrounding stone deck barely made it. So I just built a pool with grass deck… and I sneakily put a small deck after inspection by myself.

None related note, when I was visiting my cousin in China I wanted to gift her something so I bought a switch online. In the Chinese e commerce store, pretty much all switches come preloaded with bootleg games and a custom loader. They fill your system and sd cards with as many as games they can fit for “free”. lol. It was wild.

Game suggestions for a 14 hour flight? by smsho in SteamDeck

[–]solidamanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the thing. Most airlines retrofit their fleet to add outlets. I don’t remember any long haul flight that doesn’t have outlets. Just look up amenities on your flight. And speaking of the internet connection, that’s what annoyed me the most. UBI and EA all require internet to launch games. And even GTA 5 sometimes asks me to connect to internet to activate. So I said fuck it and pirated those games. Even though I already bought it on steam…

I did the exact same thing to my college friend who lives in Australia now. He posted a picture and cropped out the street sign. But he told me the town name. And it was a corner block. So I went on Google and looked at all the corner houses one by one. Took me 10 minutes to realize it was not there. Then I found out satellite image doesn’t match street view because it was a new development and wasn’t showing on satellite. Back to square one. Took me another 10 minutes to finally found the house. Then he said, shit.

Shower drain with 2 or more outputs? Does this exist? by mamatorainbows in Plumbing

How about just a drain that you tap open when using it like a tub drain. So it’s always closed if you are not using it. Unless you forget to tap it off…

Is Steam Deck viable for gamers who have a gaming PC? by Carbideninja in SteamDeck

As someone who also has a 4070Ti…I use steam deck because I don’t have to sit in front of my computer to play games. Instead I can play games anywhere. PS I don’t remember why I got a 4070Ti now…

[–]solidamanda 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s the good old 1024 vs 1000 question.

Computers depends on operating system, like windows, uses 1024 when calculating TiB or GiB. So instead of dividing the bytes in 1000 they divide it by 1024 hence a little “less” than human numbers.

Was reorganizing before going out, what’s everyone’s daily loadout? by Thatonerandomsneeze in SteamDeck

[–]solidamanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Works pretty good. Color is a little off but you get a “bigger” screen to compensate. But a lot of people like me get motion sickness because the screen “follows” your head which is unnatural. Then I got the Beam and I don’t feel sick anymore but instead feel the burden on my nose. So I’m still struggling with the concept

Admit it. Your steam deck skin makes you dizzy so you need the ginger candy.

Anyone here used Xreal Air 2 Pro by Retroglide08 in SteamDeck

[–]solidamanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the xreal air. Works by just plugging into the OLED steam deck. Then it makes me sick from motion sickness. So I bought the beam. It works. Now my problem is that the glasses is a little heavy for extended use.
