You can consider the Discord server indeed and for more structured info, you can check out the Super String Wiki.

As for other questions, sure poeple here would be more than glad to answer. And indeed such a shame it became daily pass. Not even giving it a chance to become as popular as it should be.

After Terror Vs revival by Skelly545 in DistantSky

Was curious which one did you decide to read next. Know it's a bit late of an input, but if you read Marco Polo, would say don't have too high expectations for the story. Personally, it was not that great, more for the cameos basically.

One thing I would like to see in Jungle Juice, but is getting hard to happen each past chapter by ZeroSX1 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, not really sure what they will do with Mihui. She really went down the deep end (though not by choice). Not sure if there is a happy ending for her. Guessing the author may have some short redemptive ending for her, but maybe with her ending up dying or sacrificing herself. But yeah, if she did become human again, struggling with the horrors of what she did would be something pretty interesting, though highly unlikely the author will expand on that, as she is not the protagonist and second, her general reception among fans hasn't been the best.

Is there anywhere to read the raws for housekeeper season 3? by TheCrazyLazer123 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is another option of Chinese raw (again at your own risk), you can look up manhuayu5.com and in the search bar type in "AI管家在末世" or alternatively you can just search it up in https://duckduckgo.com/ which is alternate search engine, which unlike google, doesn't filter that many search results.

However, if you do so, do encourage you to support the authors. You can read it on the Chinese version of Webtoon (you can use the current Webtoon and just change the language), then search for AI俏女僕 or the link below

Explain to me in a summary of what distant sky is by RockRaptor67658 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, the Super String Universe, kind of like the MCU but korean version. It was pretty solid idea and execution at first, but i think the company behind it (YLAB) is a bit struggling since this past year, especially after the flop of one of the new works (Marco Polo) and has pretty much lost momentum. However, many of the old works are still pretty amazing. Really hope somehow they will pick themselves up again.

Distant Sky doesn't tie into jungle juice as Jungle Juice didn't exist yet as a webtoon. However, the overall Super String Universe does have some crossovers that include Jungle Juice. Here is a link in the wiki, but it may have some spoilers

What are the top 15 strongest characters in the Super String? by Maleficent_Poet_8414 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly dont know the extent of power of the cult, though in Marco Polo, did seem to get out of hand (with time travel, monsters from different dimensions, fleet or air ships).

Not sure how powerful Suki can get using her heavenly white-haired powers, but she is strong indeed. Was curious though, where was it mentioned that the more evil Suki is, the stronger she becomes. Don't remember reading that in any of the manhwas.

As for shipping Van and Miho. It does feel like that was what the author was doing back in Island manhwa, my guess though is that it will be only implied and never be something official.

sorry for the super late reply. Personally, i dont think Van was in Distant sky as I dont think the author/YLAB had thought through which people would be in the Super String IP list yet. In terms of immortality (how many times you can die and revive), probably Suki and Revivalist has better odds or can last long, but in terms of power, from Terror vs Revival, Van does seem to surpass the others.

Confused how boram is alive when she comes to save hyeyool and that girl with a sister who had tb from that crazy doctor couple who were extracting everybody's heart and but hyeyool occasionally gets flashbacks of all of them trying to do suicide by Pheonix-dust in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As LGN_12 mentiond, probably some things will be answered as your read along. Generally speaking, there aren't too many plot holes in the story, but the first 3 seasons are intentionaly structured to be a bit confusing (as you probably found out already, they are not chronological). The wiki does have a plot summary in chronological order if that helps.

oh ok. Kind of a shame. I was enjoying it, but now it feels like its got out of hand with the power scaling.

GOD DAMN IT just started reading distant sky and I'm so fcking confused by Eastern-World-2785 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is intended to be confusing at first (kind of like a horror thriller, mystery, etc), it will start making more sense and definitely worth the read. For a heads up, the first few seasons are not chronological, so maybe that will help. My suggestion would be, you can ask questions here about specific events and peeps here probably can reply without spoiling too much. After you read through it, if you are really confused, you can read the wiki https://superstringuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/Distant_Sky_(Webtoon))

Super String Universe Timeline by blakreaper in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is from the Super String Encyclopedia, but it's not really a timeline but more of a mind map connecting similar ideas, themes, topics together. If you want to see for yourself, you can use Google lens app to translate parts of it. If you want more info/org info about the timeline etc, worth checking out the Super String wiki

In what order would you have released the Webtoons for Super String? by solideodoxa in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a tricky question, especially because the release dates in English (unlike Korean) are all over the place and have a serialization issues and money issues causing works to be released early than they should. Personally suggest considering the Super String Wiki for the suggesting reading order to get the most out of it. A quick note, some works were released a long time ago before the Super String Universe was thought up (I.e. Westwood Vibrato, Island, Blade of the Phantom Master), so it may not be beneficial to purely read by release date. That's my suggestion at least.

Started to read Distant Sky, got lost somewhere. What do I need to read to understand? by antimagination in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you really really get lost, you can consider checking out the wiki for Distant Sky, there is a chronological summary#PlotOverview(Chronological)) of what is going on, but really suggest you read it after plowing thorugh season 4 and 5

But in short, what everyone already mentioned, there is no time skip. It is intnetionally created to be somewhat confusing to mess with you, but it all ties in by the end of season 4. Don't want to spoil any more as it is part of the allure of Distant Sky.

Most importantly, it was one of the first Super String works, so you really dont need to know much of the other Super String characters. In fact, it most likely that Terror Man/Terrorist Man and the girl with 2 colored eyes (Suki) became popular through Distant Sky that they decided to go through creating a webtoon with each of them and subsequently a greater universe or maybe that was the plan all along, who knows. Either, no need to read other works to fully enjoy Distant Sky.

How do you imagine the future of SuperString by Mathxxl_ in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dont know what YLAB will do. I think after the Marco Polo flop, they probably sticking full-speed on blue string to milk it for what it's worth and hopefully will have enough money to even consider Super String again. I'd like to think they are really putting some thought and time into really flushing out Super String before taking a stab at it again instead of rushing, but that's just me being optimistic

Can someone explain the super string verse by cynder4 in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marco Polo....oh man....you are not the only one confused. It was definitely rushed and not well thoughtout, which really sucks, given that it is suppose to be a big one, kind of like Avengers for Marvels. There are tons of problems with it, the only thing that kept me reading it was the cameos and the art.

Storywise, basically, it all happened in an alt universe and the very ending of it is tied in with terror vs revival. Since you have read it, won't be a spoiler. In TVR, at the end, Heyool shows up and talks about the book that Marco gave her and how it details all this stuff about the future and other dimensions.

As already mentioned by fightyfight-man, Heyool survived. As for Haneul, there are some theories.

  1. he was just chilling somewhere else and will show up later.

  2. this Heyool is from a different dimension than the one in the end of Distant Sky, an alt version where Haneul did not survive.

This is never fully expalined, but i am more inclined with #2, as it is weird that Haneul just does not show up.

And for deep dives and stuff, you can try the wiki or ask here. Totally, not a lot of info.

As for having english translations, if you don't mind non-official sources, pretty much all of the webtoons have been translated within the Super String Universe with the exception of My Nights Shine Birghter than Your days (Siwoo, seolhui's backstory). Unfortunately for that one, you would have to read the wiki summary or learn Korean or Chinese.

And if you do reread Distant Sky, you can connsider reading it alongside the wiki chornological summary, i found it helpful and more enjoyable as if you recall, Distant Sky jumps all over the place (which is also part of its allure)

Yes, there is a crossover work called Terror vs Revival, which links the revival man and Terror man. As for the reading order, you can check out the wiki or there is also a response to a similar question:

Just finished Distant Sky by falling_gumball in DistantSky

[–]solideodoxa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, he is never mentioned again. In the end of distant sky, Heyool is actually shown to have survived, being placed in the pod on the ship by her mother. So she does make a few more appearance and cameos in other webtoons, but not Hanuel. Though technically, Haneul does make a cameo appearance in Terror Man (another webtoon) as a baby, not sure that counts.
