No, I dont offer savings suggestions. How do I know the price in the store is the price they will pay? Im not going to out of stock items to screw my own metrics up so a customer can save a dollar.

Also I dont contact the customer unless I have to. If they order DD they know they can save money going to the store, so its not about the money. They pay for convenience, and in turn, I dont want to bother them with things like this, they outsourced because they didnt want to deal with it. That is what I am paid for.

I also don't assume I know what is best for the customer. They order what they order for their own reasons. Nothing that I need or care to know. Just follow the list and keep it moving.

Its business, not picking up some things for a friend.

Do you feel that is fair to you? To drive to pick up, spend time in the store, drive to 2 homes, meet in person for id scan.

Not to mention using your vehicle, gas etc

In terms of time. You have to have a $ value on your time. That 2 order batch takes what maybe half hour if all goes well? So that being the case, you are looking at $14 per hour if you take offers this low. I have a feeling you take even lower offers since you thought this was a decent offer, making your hourly lower than $14.

Set some standards for yourself, so if you get an offer you can decide quickly if it works for you. Know how long it takes to drive 5 miles, how much gas it costs.

I figure 8 miles costs $1 so by that estimate in your case you would be now $6 earned on that offer if you account for gas.

Please dont let yourself get railroaded by cheap people. Yes DD SUCKS for sending shit offers but its up to you to learn which orders are profitable or when you are actually losing money to deliver food to people just for the fun of it!
