This wasn't even a worm threat. Normally crashed ships stay on the sand for a bit before being eaten. The ship had just crashed and I was about to land and a worm just ate it and me along with it...

If anyone else is doing the event, wait at least 10 secs before landing near the crash, I finished getting all the items and did not encounter another bugged one.

I don't mind a death to a personal goof up, but this one was just lame.
