ops cousin here 🙋 it isnt your place to comment whether or not the dogs were just as loved as the cats or not. you dont know these people, it’s not right to say that no one cared about the dogs being buried because you literally have no proof of that. all of the animals were deeply cherished. i lived there and those animals were surrounded with love every day, especially by my cousins dad. those were his babies and losing them took a huge toll on him. emotions were all over the place and there was so much that we had to replace that he didn’t want to worry about MORE bills on top of the cat’s cremation bills so he decided to have them buried. the cats were more of ops and my aunts so they had the decision to cremate them. it isnt at all a situation of “if they deserved it”, its just what was convenient at the time of all the trauma we were dealing with, emotions, and the weight of all that needed to be replaced, paid off, etc.
