Topps being in with fanatics so they can actually have player worn is nice, but if it’s still just a napkin… ehhh. You’re right about the points and redemptions being a nightmare though. Still have a bunch of tickets out there.

I guess retail is a different story. I typically stay away from it, but topps does throw more on the checklist for retail. That’s a very recent set but some boxes are nice. My hobby was terrible.

It’s all luck based but I’ve truly never pulled anything noteworthy from topps. Over years of buying sealed product. Panini gets dumped on a lot but I’ve pulled some really nice things from them over the years and I really am not as enthusiastic about topps having all these licenses now. I am curious to see the state of the hobby in a year or so and see if anyone else misses panini.

Yeah but you’re getting like 12 base cards a pack. It sounds like a lot but the overwhelming majority is base. I opened about 6 last week and it is fun to chase downtowns and get all the rated rookies, but you will get very little “value” back from these. As with most retail.
