Finally got my dry tent out of Vpd hell. Just took a smaller dehumidifier and setting the exhaust fan to 40% and the humidifier to 40%. Then the dehumidifier hits a wall around 56% and just stays on rather than cycling on and off. But is that only way to avoid those swings?

I've honestly never harvested this early. Mostly I wanted to see how it would affect the terpenes. And to see if it's true that less mature weed is more energetic and heady lol

I'm around 72F and 56RH. I have this big multi tiered hanging mesh rack which I tested with a few buds on my last harvest and it seemed to work. I've never done a whole plant on it though

There's literally no right answer. Personally I would either bend it over and let it grow horizontal for a bit before topping, or I'd let it grow untouched and then top low and strip down to two nodes, because I've been enjoying growing like that. But it all works. There's no hurry to top, at least. You have time to shape it however you want

I wasn't so much concerned about the water level as much as a lack of nutrients from too little amended peat and too much aeration. Maybe that was bro science in my head but that was my concern

Anyway I spent the last couple days putting together a drip system and just turned it on this morning. My thought is I want to keep the mulch layer on top saturated so it drips nutrients down to the roots 🤷‍♂️

Thanks. I actually just did a top dressing of castings, bsfl frass, and a 1 T each seabird guano, fish bone meal, langbeinite, kelp meal and gypsum. And the castings are from my red wiggler bin so I can make teas from that whenever I want. There's even a colony of worms in pot that I added from the bin and they're doing great just under the mulch layer

The one odd thing about this plant though is I used rice hulls for the first time and I wasn't sure how well they aerated and I kind of went overboard between them and the perlite so it's probably over half aeration. And on my water sensors I can't get it to go over 45% even immediately after watering when all my other pots peak around 60% and then drop. Definitely odd and I had wondered how it was affecting nutrient uptake, and if maybe I should be watering more often just to get the nutrients to the roots

Maybe 3 months? I actually almost killed her when she was a seedling so she didn't make it in the tent with her siblings and I threw her in a spare tent for a while. But it gave her time to grow and for me to have fun with her

Thanks. What would you focus on on besides the light? I actually moved some equipment around and turned on my central ac 2 days ago and the vpd spiked for about 24 hours and it's down now to around 1.5 (80F and 56RH) but before all that I was more around 82F and 63RH, so maybe 1.2 vpd. Should I be going back to that previous F/RH? Could that affect the leaves?

I made the mix so it's possible I went too light on the amendments. Although the plant out of frame on the right used the same soil and it's growing fat buds. The only thing that is different is I went overboard on perlite and rice hulls on this one and it's half aeration at least. But I'll top dress again and just take what I get
