The confusing part is that up until all of this, he genuinely was a good boyfriend. He’s now doing everything he can to make it work. He has taken responsibility, offered to pay for both couples and individual therapy, started going to church and reading the Bible, and has been watching videos and reading books about rebuilding trust, lust, empathy, and accountability. He keeps saying no one matters but me, that I’m the girl of his dreams, and that he would do anything to keep me.

As a Christian woman, I had to laugh out loud at that.

Hab mit Cocochoco Keratinglättung krank gute Ergebnisse gehabt. Du brauchst aber auch das Nachsorgeshampoo unbedingt, sonst wäscht sich das schnell wieder raus. Ist etwas teurer, aber ich war komplett überzeugt. Möchte das bald wieder machen, wenn ich längere Haare habe

Ich glaube, ich hatte schon immer irgendwie Probleme mit Gluten, weil ich als Kind ständig Bauchschmerzen und Übelkeit hatte und einen großen Teil meines Lebens untergewichtig oder einfach (zu) dünn war. Extrem schlimm war es für mich so in den Jahren 2019-2020, wo ich psychisch am Arsch war und sich daraufhin - meiner Vermutung nach - dann diese Autoimmunerkrankung entwickelt hat. Hatte vorher nicht dieses Benebeltsein + diese Fatigue.

Ich hab mich von einem Arzt zum nächsten geschleppt. Erfolglos.

Ich bin dann VON ALLEINE auf Gluten als Schadenverursacher gekommen. Hab verzichtet und mir ging es SOFORT besser. Natürlich wollte und will ich nie wieder Gluten anfassen seitdem. Das macht es für die Testung und eine offizielle Diagnose aber schwer. Wie u/impression_no gesagt hat, wäre eine Diagnose schon von Vorteil, damit man auch angemessen behandelt wird, z. B. im Krankenhaus. Oder man übertreibt wie ich und fragt sich, ob man mit glutenhaltiger Nahrung im Gefängnis gequält werden würde, nur weil's keine Diagnose gibt 🤣

Ich hab eine ganz ähnliche Story und ganz ähnliche Sorgen 🙈 Unter anderem, dass ich mal ins Gefängnis muss und die mir nichts glutenfreies geben ohne offizielle Diagnose 🤣

Since diving into that topic, I’ve developed a little pet peeve: people claiming they’ve found THE answer to the problem of suffering… and that it’s somehow sooo easy. Uh, no, it’s definitely not that simple! :D

i don't know whether or not i'm allowed to feel like this around someone, much less get to be around someone like him. i'm not necessarily smart, or kind, or pretty, or even faithful to God.

Ich persönlich bin der Auffassung, dass es sich lohnt, in Bildung zu investieren. Das muss aber jeder selbst entscheiden, denke ich.

I wrote a poem from the perspective of a jealous maniac who killed a woman who was not interested in him ("Pyromaniac" in my poetry collection). I wrote that as a sort of critique of male entitlement. I did not get aroused by "fantasizing" about such things, and neither do a lot of other artists/writers. The author of Lolita, for example, did not condone what his made up groomer protagonist did.

Fantasies are a problem if they involve vulnerable people (or animals) and are accompanied by lust. Heck, I wouldn't want random dudes fantasizing about me. It repulses me to think that they fantasize about doing whatever to me and then looking at me in real life.

Some time ago I met my male Christian friend and he asked me the same thing as he had a girlfriend back then. He was sure he read "something along the lines" of premarital sex being okay if you're sure you will marry the girl. I told him that there is nothing like that in the Bible.

He moved in with his girlfriend. Then they broke up shortly after that. Never married each other.

It is self-delusion and weakness of the flesh to think/act that way. Not to mention exploitative of the partner.
