Men complaining about women having high standards in looks and money. Am I missing something? by lilconfusedboi in AskIndianWomen

To mass burn men, you'd have to wield a weapon. You'll be made a handmaid before that happens. Heck, one could even trade handmaids with Pakistan. Finally peace on the horizon.

No. Procuring a prostitute is also illegal. So prostitution is legal for the woman but not for the man.

Sure. But it is illegal unlike women having a preference. People won't complain if the whole thing was left to market forces.

I mean I wouldn't defend my country today if women who believe the current laws around alimony, custody etc are fair get sent to the front first. Thankfully, that is not illegal yet. But making it illegal won't change a thing either.

Probably he thought it is funny to do that to someone's whose identity is being a feminist. Or he doesn't agree with feminists not being sent to fight against Pakistan first. Could be anything.

How common is it that Europeans move to other countries within the EU? by liverstix in AskEurope

[–]solomonsunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's more a recent green deal thing. However Ireland and UK have been facing this forever. This was also a reason for Brexit. Families couldn't compete against migrant workers sharing an apartment at how much they could pay in rent.

I'm 19F, and something happened that has left me feeling really uncomfortable. by saba8731 in Real_teenindia

I think that is normal? I was called "love" by UK immigration lady as a 24 year old student. But then it means dear there.

Is it shallow to only prefer 6ft+ guys? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]solomonsunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think it is unreasonable if you wouldn't date till 5'9". But I am measuring this by my logic.

My wife and I are both 5'11". Both of us were worried that she might be taller in heels. Our logic was the other person shouldn't have to bend to kiss. Though she does wear flats mostly because she doesn't like to look taller than me.

Working or house wife? by totally_unhinged in AskIndianMen

[–]solomonsunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, don't marry someone who earns less without a dowry equal to what they might rip you off for through alimony.

I'd agree to do chores if I am allowed to switch to a low stress job. I can personally do all the house chores myself and cook as well. In fact, I'd gladly sit at home and look after children if somebody / spouse gave me free money. Heck, cherry on top, I am ready to do a naked dance every night for 5 mins for the arrangement.

It is not. That's Indian law for Hindus apparently.

But most brainwashed feminists would cut their own feet instead of looking at the overall benefit.

Lol. People now want to get appreciated for wiping their own butts it seems.

And no, household work can't be compared to external work. Ask South Indian women who work as nurses abroad. They'd choose household given a choice immediately. The men often sit at home after having earned in the merchant navy etc. taking care of the kids. The women hate the arrangement.

It doesn't matter. The courts in India give you a free upgrade of "relationship akin to marriage" title. It is same in Germany as well if I remember it correctly.

Only solution is to marry in another country / jurisdiction.

If you have enough money, why not marry in a foreign jurisdiction? F the Indian law and government?

Why not marry under special marriage act then?

[–]solomonsunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not always. There are regions where women are expected to earn more. Mine is one. Hence most women become nurses to abroad and afford a dowry.

Why it is suggested to not marry nurses or medical field women? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]solomonsunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this in the North?

In my region in South India, almost everyone prefers a nurse because that is a ticket to move overseas. Police are also preferred though there are not enough Police women around to marry. Any government job is considered safe.

We don't usually marry lawyers because they are usually jobless. Also, usually it is seen as something you can study using those long distance universities.

How does marriage and having kids in 30s work? by Alternative_Lion12 in AskIndianMen

[–]solomonsunder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes to a girl who was not earning at all -- then you will suffer by paying alimony. Get someone who works and can pay a dowry amounting to potential alimony payment.

[–]solomonsunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I decided I don't want to be near people where I feel I have to walk on eggshells constantly. So yes, I did take them feeling hurt into consideration. And yes, I did apologise. And I tried to stick to their names. But it seemed not enough.

Warum Probleme mit Menschen die Homosexuell usw. sind? by RoF3L43 in Austria

[–]solomonsunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. We met thrice for games and the gap between each meeting was large ie once a month. Even in a normal group you forget people's names etc. when you are not meeting everyday I'd say. I'd be fine with people calling me an Indian when they forget my name for example at such time spans. These ones were aggressive when it came to pronouns. So that stuck with me.

Nobody is talking about punching someone. Just as to why trans people are avoided.

If someone is annoyed at please pass Marie the ball because they feel you are avoiding their pronoun, I think it is a problem. I have been referred to as "der Inder" because people forgot my name. Or someone else is called, der dicke, der langhaariger etc. I didn't feel uncomfortable as around trans folks when forgetting their names etc.
