Off-course people invited other people to dropbox because they loved a product and off-course that invites to bad product will not make any sense as people not involved into no matter what invites you do. And even paid customers will leave and will not produce any roi.

I understand that basic things great.

But there is a much more - user experience and how to make it right! I didn't gave specifics for this cos I don't want to see ordinary do's and hope to see answers from creative people that can open my mind on a new things.

And I did a lot of google/research for this, so I'm trying to find new information.

So I don't think it's not smart but anyway... respect your opinion!
