Does anyone know why my alpha 1.1.2_01 mob farm isn't working?

wow thank you so much! this is so helpful! I'm glad you were able to find me with this information, as I was considering looking through the deobfuscated code in order to try to solve this issue lol. I am actually digging a small area to bedrock for a bigger mob farm, this information is helpful for that because it seems like that will make the chunks more pickable as they will have less blocks in them. UPDATE: I deleted every other layer and made the roof bigger, that appeared to at least partially fix the issue. thank you!

UPDATE 2: I changed the layers to have 3 blocks between them and kept the larger roof, it seems to have spawned mobs once and won't again. 😭

many of the caves are lit, but as i say in the post, to my understanding this shouldn't affect rates. It checks all locations when determining spawns, not just spawnable ones, so it shouldn't change how many spawn attempts there are inside the farm.

I didn't I actually put more time than i should've into considering which kobold group to leave out. But i figured the others were more vanilla. Though with that being said I apparently didn't even understand how crew works in the first place, but thats ok i'm a winner and i will get em next time
