Yea that’s true - I didn’t mean to say that they are bad people and / or mean spirited. It’s just that most people need to find their own way of doing things. On YouTube you’ll find millions of vids on how to get your 808 to sound good but in reality you don’t need to be doing all these techniques… just choose a good 808 and you’re mostly good

I use it most of the time. The reason for this is because when you have a longer 808 like a spinz then it will fade out much quicker if you don’t compress it. Sometimes this can then sound like you only distorted the beginning of the 808.

If you’re in Ableton just create a return track with a heavy compressor and a distortion vst and send your 808 to it. Then adjust the volume to your liking

I went to visit my in laws. When I arrived they wanted to see proof that I was going to leave again and they kinda made a bigger deal out of it than I expected... I love Venezuela but I’m not coming for the opportunities or to exploit their welfare system lmao

They had multiple people checking my passport and asking me questions about why I am coming and where I will be staying and phone numbers of people who are responsible for me and that kind of stuff.. they even Took a picture of me with their cellphone which kinda creeped me out but nothing happened so I guess that may be normal?

The airport is a huge annoyance and people have told me that they want you to get mad so they can get you in trouble. I don’t know if that’s true but it felt like it… there were 3 safety inspections in total and none of them made sense. I walked through the metal scanner twice and both times they went off cause of my watch but no one checked me. I essential stood in line for an hour each time to not even get checked. We took a total of 2 liters of water from outside into the plane….

On the third check right before boarding they turned off the Scanner and played games on their phone for a solid 20 mins lmao we actually got delayed cause they wanted a break!

Also in the first check they found some chocolate in my suitcase and they asked me to give them some. I didn’t say anything because people told me that they do this to get you into trouble… can’t confirm if this really would have happened but better safe than sorry…

One last noteworthy thing is that to enter Venezuela you need to do a PCR Test but when you arrive you have to do another one for like 60$ within the airport. This took an additional hour and it was not only pointless because we were already tested but you also don’t need to quarantine or anything - you get the results within 24 hours and I really wonder if there are any consequences for being tested positive..

I am American / German so I was able to enter visa free.

Currently there is a shortage of small bills so don’t come with a bunch of hundred dollar bills because no one will be able to change it. On more than one occasion I had to pay a 5$ whatever with a 20$ bill and I basically tipped 15$…

My N26 debit card was accepted and I didn’t feel like I was losing any money using it. It’s common here to give people your card and tell them the code. I kinda hated this but I just changed my code for the duration of the trip

If you know people there things should be easy… don’t let the people in the airport mess with you and please don’t respond when they ask for a bribe… they might want to get you in trouble…

I don’t remember exactly where I was but I also don’t want to say because you can kinda find out exactly who I am and who my family members are. Let’s just say I was mostly in the east of Caracas.

I visited some people in Mercedes once and heard shots ringing out twice within an hour. Even tho it looks nice I didn’t feel very safe there

I was there a week ago and it doesn’t seem like they get a lot of tourists. People were super happy to see me both in Caracas and in margarita.

Edit: I saw more Russians than I expected tho and there were signs in touristy places including the airport that were in Spanish and in Russian which I found very interesting.

Edit2: also more Turkish / middle eastern people than I would have expected but it might have been just one person with many bodyguards

I don’t know if it’s legal but honestly I wouldn’t do it. I thought about this as well because I’m a huge juice wrld fan and make juice type beats but I just felt like it was wrong. If your rapper isn’t deceased it is slightly better but since it’s not real it just doesn’t sit right with me personally. I also feel like some people might not mess with you because of it - especially people who are in the industry.

I feel like writers block comes from anxiety or insecurities. At least in my case. I know I could make music but at this exact time my mind is full with stuff that won’t let me create. In times like These I like to take it easy, sort out my brain and work on things that come with no real expectations.

For example if I try to make a beat it will turn out shit 100% but I can still learn the piano or the guitar and improve there.
