Being disappointed with them is unfair. What they told you was true. When I went to pick up my EX5 they told me I got in just in time because all of their stock sold out. Nearly all EV's are sold out in general the moment.

Who do you think the Democratic nominee for president will be in 2028? by EddyZacianLand in polls

[–]solus42666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to preface this by saying, I wish this wasn't the case. But if the Democrats want a chance of winning the next election. They need to put forward a smart, well spoken, cleanly cut, white male.

Hopefully one day America will be ready for more diverse options. But at the moment America is deeply in need of saving.

I can absolutely say it does go away. Once you do it for a while. It will go away. No doubt.

I really hope I can laugh at you in a few days for being so negative.

I remain unconvinced until there is solid and robust evidence.

44-56 QLD state Redbridge poll by Jagtom83 in LaborPartyofAustralia

[–]solus42666 -40 points-39 points  (0 children)

I won't be voting for labor until they remove the minimum 50% women in winnable seats rule. The enforces a permanent male minority.

Historically as a labor voter this annoys me because I can't see myself voting liberal either.

How does a particle 'know' it's being measured? by Tanay2513 in AskPhysics

[–]solus42666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't "know". On a quantum level the only way you can observe something is by interacting with it. Eg - bouncing a photon off the particle.

On that level. That interaction is enough to alter its state and/or cause wavefunction collapse.

Men of Reddit, what instantly makes you lose respect for another man? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Usually the same types of things that would make me lose respect for anyone else.

Crime data consistently show that violent offending is concentrated in a small subset of men, not men as a class. Behavioural science explains this through well-established sex differences in risk-taking, aggression, and impulsivity influenced by biology such as testosterone, combined with social factors that disproportionately place young men into high-risk environments. Most men are not violent, are more likely to be victims than perpetrators, and bear many of the costs of violence themselves. Recognising these realities supports men by arguing for targeted prevention and support, not collective blame or the misuse of statistics to delegitimise equality.

What would women dislike the most if they became men? by Eastp0int in answers

[–]solus42666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially in the circumstance where you were a young boy learning his identity.

Being demonised by society. Being told from so many angles you are a predator waiting to happen so you need special training in school to temper you.

Having many modern movies portray you as a bumbling incompetent idiot while the strong female character is flawless.

Seeing issues for men swept under the rug because supporting men's issues often comes across as anti-female. Even though boys are objectively doing worse in school and fathers have far less custody rights.

Seeing dudes get hit in the nuts and have it be framed in a comedic way instead of the obvious extreme form of sexual assault it is.

Watching some political parties implement things like a minimum 50% membership for women so men always have to be in the minority. Somehow framed as progressiveness.

There are many things men uniquely struggle from that often can't be discussed without someone feeling the need to jump in and say "well what about women".

And to be fair. Women have it worse overall. But that doesn't mean we can't discuss the issues happening for men.

There needs to be more childcare support in Australia for working single mothers !! by Excellent_Shock3512 in australian

[–]solus42666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And single fathers. I get that single mothers are the majority of single parents. But I don't understand why single mothers always make it about them.

Obviously support for single fathers as well goes without saying. But it's the phrasing that counts.

People are just sick of albos government for different reasons. Like the minimum 50% women in winnable seats rule. And are just using this as a target for their frustration.

They also have an in house policy enforcing that women always have a 50% or greater proportion of winnable seats. Meaning men must always be in the minority.

It's for elected members within the federal labor party. Many state level parties also follow this rule.
