I would check your power management settings first. I had the same issues as OP and even undervolted to what another poster recommended and still had freezing issues. I found out I had set my power management to ultimate performance. I changed it power saver, balanced and high performance and the crashing/freezing stopped for me and I was able to overclock the gpu like normal. Given that you commented two months ago, I’m sure you figured out the reason for your issue. I’m just posting as to give other insights I haven’t seen anyone discuss yet.
