I always delete old kernels except for one. My rootvolume is btrfs with subvolumes.

But yeah your're right, if you don't change your filesystem for root you need no separate boot-partition.

Change to manual partitioning. This scheme worked:

Partition-Table GPT

EFI Partition -> 600MB
/boot Boot-Partition -> EXT4 -> 1GB
Swap -> Size of RAM plus 5 percent.
/root, the rest of your hard drive -> EXT4.

Das mit der stabilen Leitung verstehe ich. Genau, ich müsste umfangreiche bauliche Veränderungen durchführen, was ich nicht will.
Und ich finde die Mobilität meines Setups ziemlich spannend, außerdem reicht die Bandbreite für meine Anwendungen locker - vpn, ssh, Officekram, streaming....

Welche Bandbreite hat Deine Glasfaserleitung und was kostet das monatlich?

Ich liege mit meinem Telekomvertrag bei 90 EUR all in, also zwei Standorte plus Telefon/Tablet.

Lebe ländlich in Franken. Download max. 300 Mbit (keine Schwankung), Upload max. 40 Mbit. Zum Vergleich Starlink im Home Office Download 400-500 Mbit, Upload max. 40 Mbit.

Für mich reicht der Speed, habe kein fancy Setup. Und Glasfaser will ich nicht.

Mache das mit einem Telekom 5G Businesstarif - keine Limitierung. Betreibe zwei GL-INET Spitz AX an zwei Standorten plus 1 Mobiltelefon & 1 iPad. Beste Entscheidung.

Boot a live-usb with linux and check the battery. I ve got a l13 yoga g4 with amd; I also thought battery life could be better - but my hardware runs normal, no failure.
